A group therapy is a major tool for change and growth and it requires individuals to meet face to face and share their experiences with the trained professionals. The power of the process groups is found in the unique opportunities they possess regarding the perspectives and other feedbacks in an environmental setting. All the members are required to deepen their self-awareness capacities and learn the ways of relating with other people easily based on the approved levels. They are also required to present issues to the group they feel are worth the discussion and which will enhance their interaction practices (Weiss and Rutan, 2016). After the experience they are highly encouraged to give support and feedback to the other members based on their level of reactions and ability to create solid responses concerning the present situations.
In the process groups it enables the members to gain proper self-esteem by being themselves. It allows them to express themselves based on the different feelings they may encounter. Also their ability to communicate increases since the change affects their ability to disclose information easily. The group experience will enhance my capacity to respect and recognize the pace of different members found in the group. I will therefore understand the proper approach to undertake when handling different feelings and thoughts to gain utmost trust and security from the present members (Weiss and Rutan, 2016). Every communication process will consider the need for respect and solid engagement between one another.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
As a therapist I will easily know the censored thoughts and feelings of my audience since from that angle I will easily explore and resolve major interpersonal conflicts, assertions and issues on self-affirmation. In situations where there are emotional issues I will know the proper approach in handling them for better results. From the experience I will acquire knowledge on how to give and receive feedback from the group members since it will foster a solid communication process in the team. From the feedback system created, I will easily identify patterns, various attitudes that are unrecognized, certain inconsistencies and personal presentations for better results (Weiss and Rutan 2016). A stronger relationship will therefore result which will be beneficial for my growth and development as a therapist.
The group therapy will enable me to promote my social skills since I will be in contact with the team members and enhance the development of my communication skills. From the frequent participation within the group, it significantly enhances the social interactions through life-enhancing, rewarding and developed systems of relations. From the aspect of self-reflection and awareness the groups will make me understand a lot about myself in that I will easily listen to every feedback from the group and institute systems of mental development. Through self-reflection one identifies the focal points in life that require a certain change of adjustment for better results.
Group therapy will enhance the need for togetherness and unity amongst the members since they will share common objectives while attending the sessions. The process will therefore enable me to apply the needed skills while teaching them individually since they will be able to relate to the information in an organized manner (Weiss and Rutan, 2016). It will act as a powerful tool during a recovery process and when overcoming the life’s obstacles. The group therapy necessitates a platform where support and encouragement activities can be enhanced amongst the wide range of individuals. Through the use of observation most individuals in the group can easily detect the need to relate to the experiences of other people and acknowledge their different struggles and potential issues of life.
From every lesson in the group therapy and other set discussions it will enable the group members to operate as role models where they can cope with different situations around them. They therefore give hope, support, motivate and encourage those around them by becoming individuals who can be emulated in the social world. Also as a counselor towards the therapy group I will easily observe the people’s behaviors and analyze how they react differently within the social interactions setting. Most of the group therapy sessions will significantly give me a vivid understanding of the expectations of different people in the society and how they easily respond to various situations around them (Weiss and Rutan, 2016). Therefore as I engage in certain treatment plan I will easily know the focal points applicable for a certain adjustment and the distinct actions during an emergency situation.
The group therapy sessions create a safe environment for the therapy individuals where they easily feel safe and secure as they present their natural behaviors around other people. The environment hence creates a platform where flow of ideas is improved at all costs. Also they learn the basic ways to communicate with other people and express themselves on a more confident level. Most group therapies easily propel an individual’s willingness to develop forward in that they can easily overcome their fears and emerge strong. Therefore as a therapist I will easily ensure that all the members operate with a vision of moving forward where they can experience a positive change in their lives.
In the group therapies it speeds up the level of participation amongst the members since they significantly respond to various questions that I will ask. Distinct responses will ensure that basic solutions are created for the benefit of the members. Those individuals who are poor at communication will be assured to open and up and engage freely with other people for better results. The therapies create a situation where a revealing process is improved for the members involved. The counseling process presents various topics which may possess various perspectives from the members hence every individual participates by revealing their experiences of thoughts.
Counseling from a group perspective will enable me to find where my voice lies, figure out my valid beliefs and opinions and also the relative goals that am supposed to achieve as I educate the group members. From every distinct experience I will encounter I will formulate ways of handling certain therapeutic instances that require a lot of care. Also a situation is created where one learns from the peers since the process groups will allow me to relate to what the patients are experiencing and what they feel. A level of connection will be enhanced where I will know how to deal with their problems and advise them accordingly.
A significant level of trust is created through the process groups therapies where the individuals will easily trust in my treatment capacities and believe in my abilities. In line with that they will easily share their stories without fear through credible speeches (Weiss and Rutan, 2016). Other will easily testify what they have encountered to me and I will advise them where applicable.
