A non-classroom learning experience that I was able to learn was working in the food industry. This was my first job and had no experience at all. Being my first job, I was so nervous, but I had much energy and an admirable personality that would keep me grounded. My good communication skills made me given the position of customer care. I was able to talk with my colleagues and customers in a much more friendly and professional manner and this gesture was appreciated by everyone around me and within no time, I was so good at it. I learned that good communication plays a vital role in many spheres of life. I was able to calm tensed moments amongst fellow employees or keep the customers calm whenever there was a mess. I learned to treat people well.
To ensure that I kept on succeeding in my learning, I kept practicing and polishing my skills since I was the face of the industry (Kuh,2016). I set goals for myself as an employee that would help me stay on track and reach the full potential of the company's success. Besides, I developed a habit of being inquisitive to those who would help in areas I was not sure of. By doing so, I would get to learn new skills that would help improve service and ensure that I always did the right thing. I also gave a listening ear to anyone who wanted my help and would work as a team to create good cohesion.

All the strategies would also be beneficial to me while at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Just like any other student, I would set my education goals and work extra hard to attain them and get a good grade. Moreover, since I am an inquisitive person, I would make it a habit of asking my lecturers and fellow students on areas I am weak at or need extra help. Asking questions as a student brings enlightenment in areas where one needs much clarification. Developing good cohesion with my classmates would bring a good learning environment and help me build good learning team works that would see me attain good grades.
