Kentucky senate race is a tight one considering the close range margin between Amy McGrath and Mitch McConnel, the 2018 house candidate McGrath is challenging republican McConnell in the coming election. McConnell is the most despised leader among the democrats and this makes Kentucky senate race one of the most awaited and watched contest. According to Five thirty eight the latest polls of both registered and likely voters as at the 16th of October 2020 stands at 20,354 (FiveThirtyEight.com 2020) . There is not much polling because the numbers reported by the survey organizations are still low. There is still much that can change because the numbers could increase if more voters are registered in the coming days. Also there is a good deal of the polling because despite the numbers recorded so far the likely voters can be converted to either side of the candidates as they have not made decisions yet.

The polling is consistent as the margin difference between the candidates in different times remains consistent. The variation ranges between 5% for every comparison made between the two candidates (Fivethirtyeight.com 2020). The polls do not suggest a wildly difference between the leaders and the winner can be either of them although McConnell is leading the race so far. From the prediction McConnell is likely to win because he is currently having a 46% poll while McGrath is following with a 39% poll ( 270towin.com 2020) At this point McConnell could be a decisive candidate to win unless there is a major shift in the voting patterns of the voters. Kentucky is however having the tightest race and it is one of the states closely being watched because of the great rift between the republicans and democrats.
