The field of public and non-profit administration requires a properly directed research design to gain an accurate insight of its trends. I would recommend for the need to use the replication method of understanding the theory and practice in public administration. Replication is a useful method in gaining studying the consistency of findings in social sciences. Advancing knowledge in public administration necessitates the need to make use of replications designs. Public and non-profit administration is multi-disciplinary; there is the possibility of incorporating generalized research findings. I would opt for experimental research designs that compare control groups with randomized assignments. As such, it would be possible to get the relationship (causal) between the identified variables. Instead of adopting ground-breaking issues, I would choose to engage in scientific progress to either reject or support the existing findings with the help of replication designs. Replication research in public and non-profit administration would be useful in improving the existing practice and theory.
The techniques learnt in this course would be useful in designing an effective research approach in my area of interest in the field of public and non-profit administration. I have had to gain the knowledge on the considerations that will be essential in realizing a successful profession and personal use. I have acquired knowledge on how to start of my research process by developing inquiries that can be answered through observable or empirical responses. I have realized that my research should be able to achieve the required level of evidence as per public organizations. I have learnt how to build a strong hypothesis is not only able to relate a variety of factors but also answer specific questions with regards to the subject. I have also learnt much on the necessary ethical considerations that I will need to implement especially when dealing with research participants.
