Studying organizational behavior is essential as it advances knowledge regarding how to relate to others within an institution as well as understanding the significance of relationships that encourage productivity. Organizational behaviors help in understanding human behavior in an organization and how these practices can be transformed by using analysis so that they have a positive effect on the operations of the company (Hellriegel & Slocum, 2011). It is thus critical to study organizational behavior since it is a core element in ensuring success.
I believe the most significant lesson I learned during the course came when we were studying leadership and management. It is often easy to believe that anyone can be a leader just by understanding the basic concepts of authority. However, I was amazed to learn of the different leadership styles that are applicable in different circumstances. I learned that a good leader is the one that first understands his environment and team before applying a particular method of leadership (Clarke, 2011). It is because of this that good leaders are versatile. Besides this, I also came to learn that leadership skills play a crucial role in influencing organizational behavior as it defines the type of relationships in the institution.

I would suggest that the materials used in learning should be reviewed and that most of them should be recent documents. Though the nature of business has not altered a lot since the past, it is essential to understand that the current business environment is versatile and that people hold onto new perspectives because of the changing paradigms in the economy and culture.
I would like to extend my appreciation and honor to my lecturer who was very patient and took time to ensure that I grasp all the necessary knowledge needed to excel in this course. Additionally, I am grateful for the resources both tangible and non-tangible that he offered to my class as it helped me develop new perspective based on experience. I would also like to thank my class for always taking time in group activities that helped me in understanding the lessons better as well as sharing the knowledge that I gained during the course.
