Over the last decade, the US healthcare delivery system has been experiencing significant reformation to improve the health services received by customers in the country. The healthcare system has been in a position to enhance the nation’s efficiency in the country with mandates and regulations put in place. For example, the health insurance covers premiums, especially the individual coverage through the Affordable Care Act that has been in place from 2013 to 2017. President Trump pushed the Affordable Care Act, but it received different reactions as it was perceived to be dangerous to the healthcare system. The recognized regulation that has been implemented is the HR Bill.

The HR Bill also recognized as the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2019 intends to enhance the education level for nurses. This regulation was implemented to increase efficiency in the United States by improving the level of education for nurses and increasing the possibility for increasing retention of qualified nurses in the nation (Papanicolas, Woskie, & Jha, 2018). The program tries to improve the nursing service delivery for bettering the wellbeing of American Nurses in their area of operation. In an attempt to achieve its objectives, the bill proposes to increase funds made for nurse-managed healthcare facilities, thus making nurses feel satisfied in their work environment. This information indicates that the legislation has positive impacts on the functioning of the nurses in their work sector. For example, nurses will be exposed to proper training programs, thus enhancing their capabilities to increase efficiency in their roles. The changes in the nursing industry also require nurses to adhere to the regulations imposed in the bill, thus maintaining a high standard in their profession.

Pay for performance program is implemented with the belief that most of the people are in a position to achieve development based on the assumption this program has the impact for enhancing the quality of services received by the patients. The care payment system is designed to provide incentives for improving the quality of healthcare provided in the multiple settings such as the office of the physicians, the hospitals, and other organizations that offer services related to the healthcare services (Pham & Ginsburg, 2018). The objective of this program is to ensure patients receive the value of the money they pay for services the healthcare services they receive. The implementation of the pay healthcare performance includes a broader focus on healthcare performance by improving the outcomes of patient treatment. For instance, patients will be in a position to experience a reduction in mortality and morbidity, thus increasing the level of employee satisfaction.

Nurses will play an essential role in implementing the pay for performance program in the United States. They are the crucial people in determining the success of payment for performance because they interact directly with patients, thus compelling nurses to improve skills and show commitment in attending to patients. Therefore, physicians are required to participate in ye program by showing commitment to acting following their professional autonomy. The incentives for pay for performance will be based on the quality and efficiency that nurses provide to the patients (Roby et al., 2018). For healthcare facilities to achieve this objective, customers will be required to improve the skills for nurses to offer services to patients. The impacts of this performance are also witnessed through the pay for reporting indicating that nurses should always be present to provide services to clients.

Health facility leadership consists of directors and managers performing different responsibilities that contribute to performance in the healthcare sector. They play significant roles such as formulating the mission of the organization and the establishment of key objectives that the healthcare facility should achieve. The management in the nursing profession should be implemented at different levels to provide overall monitoring of activities performed within the organization. For instance, healthcare facility leadership should be able to monitor and ensure financial viability and implement high-level performance in the healthcare facilities to the people in the employment sector. The emerging trend in healthcare management is that there is an increment in the direct involvement of managers in promoting patient safety. Addressing quality issues becomes the first approach for improving quality services for patients (Roby et al., 2018). These changes in leadership play an essential role in promoting patient safety. The managers are skilled in quality healthcare services and spend most of the time discussing strategies that can be applied in implementing the mechanisms and skills for improving the quality of services that nurses provide to clients.

The emerging in the nursing field indicates that the future of nursing is likely to be different from the existing trends in the modern healthcare system. The US reform in the healthcare sector focuses on improving the quality of services that patients receive in the market as well as improving the skills and level of education for physicians. These changes indicate that nursing practice will be more relevant through the increased level of commitment to ensuring that nurses receive job satisfaction and increment in delivering quality and safe treatment practices. For example, the changing traits in the American healthcare system show that baby boomers form 27% of the American population (Pham & Ginsburg, 2018). The central idea is that the community of the aging population is on the rise in the United States, thus increasing demand for healthcare services. In effect, nurses are expected to reform their activities to serve the interests of senior patients. The other emerging trend in practice is the evolution of the adoption of robotics and artificial intelligence in offering services to patients with different needs. In the coming years, there is a possibility that robots will be integrated as an essential medical facility, thus increasing the likelihood of making provision of healthcare services accessible and safe for patients. Nurses are also likely to utilize devices and online services in keeping records and identifying the challenges that face the majority of nurses when diagnosing patients with particular diseases.

In the next five years, the nursing profession will create more specialized physicians likely to improve the experience of patients in the healthcare facility. Dedicated hybrids will play an essential role in addressing the increased demand in geriatric care and create nursing with skills concentrating on the stance (Papanicolas, Woskie, & Jha, 2018). The nursing program will focus on producing skills that are set to serve the interests of customers in geriatric care specifically. Additionally, the implementation of IT specialists nurses will also be implemented in the future, thus improving their activities in handling the needs of the patients. The application of technology devices indicates that nurses will be able to provide more effective nursing practices to cater to the needs of all patients.

In conclusion, the healthcare sector is always changing, as reflected through the emerging trends in the industry. The changes are witnessed through the influential factors through the nursing laws that have been implemented to ensure that nurses receive skills capable of improving patient safety. Obama care and the implementation of the American Healthcare Act have been in a position to enhance healthcare services as they affect the roles and expectations of nurses. Change in an industry begins with the performance of leaders as they contribute to professional development and commitment to improving the work of nurses. The changes witnessed in modern healthcare shows that the nursing industry will be different in the future.
