Technology has become the most common agent of change in the world that people live in today. It is associated, however, with a lot of risks and it is due to this reason that there have arisen technological breakthroughs. Through technology, innovative solutions have been discovered that help overcomes the most pressing global challenges. Emerging technologies have continued to strengthen the power of innovation, thus transforming industries, improving people’s lives and also safeguarding the planet (Ashrafian, 2015). Emerging technologies such as Artificial Technology are new technologies that have a relatively fast growth, thus replacing the older technologies that lack potential.

Artificial Intelligence is part of computer science that develops computers or systems that can perform tasks that people can do or those that require human intelligence. These systems focus on making people’s lives easier and have a great impact on the society. Artificial Intelligence has advanced considerably from smartphones that recognize human speech to self-driving cars and automated flying airplanes not forgetting the gate pass that uses image-recognition technology. According to Ethics of artificial intelligence (2015), Artificial Intelligence has the power to enable a machine perceive and respond to its changing environment.

Emergent Artificial Intelligence has gone a step further to store large volumes of information, understand languages, reason and even solve analytical problems. It is believed that the Artificial Intelligence systems can perform better when it comes to some tasks than the humans. For example, the self-driven cars being controlled by computers have small chances of causing accidents on the road transport. This is because of these machines devoid of human errors. For instance, AIs have significant concentration level that is not disturbed by the surrounding environment, and similar lack defects in sight.

Intelligence machines have faster access to much larger stored information than the humans. The system is also able to respond without human emotional biases. AI, when compared to medical practitioners, can detect diseases quickly without carrying out a lot of tests on the patient. For example, the Watson System that analyses unstructured data and assists in the diagnosis and evidence-based treatment options for patients with a particular medical report (Waters, 2016).

Obsoletes: What does this technology replace?

The Artificial Intelligence is a threat to the human labor as it might one day replace them with their jobs. The taxi drivers, for example, could be superseded by the self-driven vehicles; pilots could also be superseded by the automated planes. AI is also predicted to change how things are produced, manufactured and delivered. This technology could be modeled to adapt on these manual works, thus replacing the spoon-feeding of instructions method (Marr, 2016).

Artificial Intelligence systems and devices could have the concept of communicating with each other to get the work done leaving people to relax as their job is done. AI has the potential to replace the online marketer since it has the potential to generate messages, target individuals and move them to action using its unique persuasion techniques. Besides, AI could manage a whole office effectively. This would happen through tracking employees hours and overtime, stocking office materials and even welcoming guests (Ashrafian, 2015)

Moreover, AI can crunch figures and millions of numbers at a go, unlike the human. The accounting process involves working with large numbers; therefore, AI has been fully automated with the accounting process and could replace millions of accounting related workers globally. Journalists will also be replaced as their creativity will no longer be needed. The AI can read through large amounts of data, pick out what’s interesting and then spin a concise, compelling report.

Retrieves/Rekindles: What does this technology bring to mind (or retrieve) from the past?

In the 17th century, people did not know how it felt to have electricity. They to travel long distance for communication since cell phones were unheard. When the mind flashbacks to those ancient times, it becomes impossible to understand how people survived under those situations. Most people today, depend on technology for almost everything that they do. Artificial Intelligence, on the other hand, makes attributes that resemble the human race. And as the system grows in the human intelligence, people are challenged as well as their view of what it means to be human (Ashrafian, 2015). The human cognition is grounded in social, cultural and biological processes that explain the complexity, design, and richness of the human mind.

Drawing ideas from Artificial Intelligence technology, one is left to wonder whether the people can free their consciousness from their bodies. Artificial Intelligence has left people’s mind to plug into the virtual reality that technology is for real. Technology has thus accelerated and made quick and significant advances today. Artificial Intelligence might also be part of a solution to the problems that have been facing humans like food insecurity, global warming, and income inequality.AI has thus a greater impact in the 21st century as it has continued to change the way people perform their tasks(Waters, 2016).

Reverses: What might replace this technology in the future, or what might it cause to occur?

Artificial Intelligence will soon replace people’s jobs with robots. These robots will be in homes, offices, and hotels performing all duties just like personal servants, waiters, and caretakers. According to Ethics of artificial intelligence (2015), Amazon, for example, has already introduced a new Artificial Intelligence Assistant that replaces the need for a human assistant. Artificial Intelligence in the future will be a real age reversal as people will reverse the aging process, and there will be no wrinkled faces in the society. Though the process might be expensive and risky, people who will embrace it will get it. Age reversal without doubts will change the species as well as the world forever (Marr, 2016).

Smartphones will be replaced by high-resolution lenses with audio ear plugs. There will be artificial uterus whereby scientists will be allowed to birth mammals inside an artificial womb. This will happen mostly in the countries where the population is small or where young ladies fear giving birth due to different reasons.

Impact of technology on teaching and learning

Globally, in today’s society, there is a focus on the potentials of employing new technologies in the learning institutes (Jorgen & Lars, 2013). Students are stipulated to learn when they are given a chance to interact with hands-on learning instruments that the innovation provides. Since innovation upgrades the self-esteem of understudies and makes them excited about going to school, then emerging technology should be allowed in the classroom.

Any school would go for this emerging Technology since it can be used as supplemental teaching tools for educators (Jorgen & Lars, 2013). Technology helps teachers in reinforcing and expanding on their content. Students have for many years learned through lesson plans and the same timetable that at times becomes tedious. The use of graphics and video clips will keep students engaged in lessons. The students will also get additional resources, learn at their pace and be prepared for the future.

In conclusion, the quest for Artificial Intelligence is an indication of how far people have come and how much more there is to know. Indeed when pondering about the world, it is evident that AI can handle and gain from measures of information that are incomprehensible for individuals. The future is thus filled with opportunities to expand our horizons with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
