Compared to Simmons, Bowen’s response is quite different. For instance, she has mentioned the chapter studied and the subject matter. She then proceeds to state the different learning techniques presented and which of them she would implement. Bowen chose the Team-Based Learning which allows counselors to take an evaluation as an individual and as a group. This technique requires team members to express their thinking, and provide a chance to assess their individual reasoning when faced with different decisions that other team members may make (Svinicki & McKeachie, 2014). It is clear that Bowen understands the significance of interaction between the groups as this will enable the members to engage more and open up.
What surprised me is Bowen’s mention of playing the ‘devil’s advocate’ in this scenario with the aim of pushing the adult learners to seek out the truth or what pertains to the case study (Sprouts, 2015). This is similar to 2 Timothy 2: 24 – 25, which emphasizes on the importance of seeking out the truth in knowledge. A careful selection of issues can assist in revealing common learner misconceptions, and the regular interaction and dialogue among teams allow learners to compare their understandings with those of other teams, in addition to developing new understandings (Svinicki & McKeachie, 2014).

I also agree when Bowen says that it is vital to comprehend the interviewing process as this will enable the adult student to apply what they understand to their interviews as investigators. Bowen has focused on Team-Based Learning because it has been evidenced to produce learning benefits in various learning classrooms. I also believe that this technique is effective in teaching the significance of team work and as Ecclesiastes 4:9 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor ” (NIV, 2011).
