The world has developed massively, leading to the intensive use of computers in the daily lives of human beings. Notably, this has introduced malicious activity, and most people experience a different type of cyber-attack. According to Gomes, Ahokangas, and Owusu (2016), marked cybercrimes as the most key threat in the modern era. With the growth of cybercrime, the federal government should enhance preparedness and ensure the Nation and the International partners' safety against cybercrimes.
My expectation of the federal government for cyber preparedness is to establish practical measures to protect any threat and hazards of cybercrime before they occur. The proactive measures will generate a sense of confidence within the local, international, and private stakeholders as they carry on their digitalized world activities. The federal government can take proactive measures by creating awareness of cybersecurity and venture in projects that will impact the local community and the private stakeholders with necessary technical handle cyber securities. This will ensure that the state and the private sector will be more resilient to cybercrime attacks. Preparedness of cybersecurity cannot be won by relying solely on the government to fight this war; therefore it is significant that the government involve the locals and the private stakeholders by creating awareness and educating them on ways to protect themselves against cyber-attacks,

To curb the malicious and hazards impacts related to cyber-attacks, there must be a collaboration between the local businesses, the law enforcement entities, the local and private citizens with the federal government. Collaboration and proper channels of communication help curb cyber-attacks in the early stages (Zhao and White, 2012). The local and private citizens should report any suspicious form of cyber-attack to homeland security, and law enforcers will immediately take action on the said case. In case it is an emergency and probably a more significant threat and exceeds what the law enforcers can handle. For instance, in the case of suspected terrorism, the information will be passed on to the Federal government through the right channels and decision, and the next course of action will be communicated from the Federal government.
In conclusion, the federal government plays a crucial role in enhancing cyber preparedness. However, collaborations with the involved stakeholders will lead to a reduced number of cyber-attacks.
