I have learned about various principles, concepts, and theories in psychology. These include the history of psychology, major psychological perspectives, research methods, biological functioning, behavior cognition and memory, personality social psychology, as well as motivation and emotion psychological disorders. I have realized that there are several ways through which I can apply psychology to my future life. One of the ways is getting motivated or enhancing my levels of motivation while undertaking a given task. According to the theory of Herzberg's Motivation, factors that often influence motivation such as satisfaction, autonomy, growth, and recognition are crucial in motivating one to undertake a given task. Besides, this theory is relevant to fixing some of the challenges and issues that may lead to job dissatisfaction. This theory acknowledges the existence of some factors in the workplace that can lead to job satisfaction, whereas a separate set of factors may be responsible for causing dissatisfaction. These two sets of factors usually act independently from each other (Ozsoy, 2019).
In this respect, it would be essential to think about the adoption and application of concept from educational and cognitive psychology such as analysis, evaluation, and creativity in keeping my interests higher as a source of motivation. It would also be necessary for me to be appropriately guided by concepts of cognitive psychology such as memory, thinking, attention, and perception to learn about new things that can enhance my current level of knowledge. Improvement of my leadership skills is another way through which I can apply psychology to my future life. In this regard, I intend to use the knowledge and understanding acquired from psychology to impact my performance in the future as a leader positively. According to the behavioral theory, the principles that I have acquired from learning psychology will enable me to place more emphasis on the acquisition of certain specific characteristics and behaviors associated with effective leadership (Peterson, 2015). Besides, the application of behavioral theory as one of the concepts that will guide my life in the future as a leader will be largely dependent on three basic skills, namely human, conceptual, and technical.

I believe that positive psychology, among other aspects that I have acquired from studying the subject of psychology will play a crucial role in enabling me to embrace my strengths instead of focusing on my weak areas. In this way, the basis of positive psychology entails a premise that I desire to live a fulfilling and purposeful live presently and in the future (Young, 2018). Besides, this particular concept of psychology will be vital in empowering me to desire to improve my perspective about life in the sense that I will highly likely to strive for enhanced performance and happiness in various aspects of my life and career. When leaders approach their style of management from the perspective of positive psychology, they tend to have a strong belief in the capabilities of their followers to the extent that they can conveniently and more effectively achieve greater transformation and growth.
Having studied Personality Social psychology, I have managed to boost and enhance my understanding regarding the various social attitudes, behavioral patterns, and perspectives that often influence ways in which individuals view themselves. With this knowledge, I will work on improving and bettering my life in the future by understanding by personality and some of the roles that fit it. Having a better understanding of one's personality is critical in determining how much people are likely to handle different situations and circumstances that they experience. According to the Psychoanalytic Social Theory, social life is mostly based on the assumption that cultural and social conditions have a substantial role in shaping the personality of an individual (Schrenzel, 2015). In the application of psychology to my future life, I intend to make the necessary adjustments in shaping my personality in a way that will influence the realization of positive outcomes irrespective of my cultural or social conditions.
In my future role as a parent, the new knowledge and information acquired from studying psychology will be critical in assisting me in understanding the behavioral patterns displayed by children and appropriate ways of responding to the various needs. I will also be in a better position to use the principles of positive psychology learned in personality social psychology and behavior cognition to influence the shaping of the personality of my children positively (Prenda & Lachman, 2011). In my career choice, the information acquired from studying psychology will play a critical role in changing my perspective about the whole concept of life while trying to suite my personalities with a more appropriate line of profession. Information from major psychological perspectives will be important for me in understanding my preferences when it comes to choosing a suitable career in which I can be more productive.
Concerning personal relationships, the information and knowledge obtained from learning about behavior cognition and personality social psychology will assist me to have a deeper and broader understanding of the people I will relate with. This kind of understanding will play a crucial role in solving any disagreements that may arise between me and the people with whom I will have personal relationships in the future. When it comes to self-acceptance, I believe that the information acquired to learning about positive psychology will largely help in changing my perspective about life as well as my behavior and personality traits. Such an understanding will be useful for my effective incorporation into the surrounding social and cultural frameworks. It is worth noting that my perspectives and beliefs about have significantly changed owing to studying the various elements of this course(Prenda & Lachman, 2011). The information I have learned in class has changed my perspective from viewing life negatively to viewing life positively despite experiencing challenges or struggling with hardships.
In that regard, I have learned to train myself to explore different sources of motivation for my life thee different roles that I perform. For instance, I have learned to believe in myself and to know that I have the capability of becoming a more effective leader in the future. Having studied this course, it is worth acknowledging that my viewpoints on various subjects have considerable changed (Young, 2018). Specifically, my viewpoints about the subject of leadership have changed in the sense that I have now decided to appreciate that traits and characteristics of effective leadership are not just inborn, but they can be acquired through a change of mind and training. Some of the materials that were helpful for me in having these particular changes in viewpoints included class discussions, textbook subjects, and articles about the psychology of leadership.
To that extent, my relationship with others has considerably changed for the better. I have resorted to engaging in the reassessment of different aspects of my life in the sense that I have learned to identify and appreciate my talents and strengths while striving to put them into productive use. I have also been able to use this information and knowledge to learn more about the behavioral characteristics of the people with whom I interact as a way of creating a better environment of mutual coexistence for all of use. I have also developed a tendency of understanding that people have diverse personality traits and are talented different thus it is important to embrace the aspect of diversity amongst humans.
