Human beings are usually regarded as social animals due to the tendency to interact with others. However, as a person develops from childhood to adulthood, the nature of association and participants involved in the interaction markedly change. A developing individual has a plethora of factors classified as parental, biological, cultural, and peer forces that shape a person's perceptions about self and others thus influencing how they interact. In infancy, the most significant players that determine socialization include the biological and familial forces. 

As the infant approaches childhood and adolescence, peer relationships become an essential factor. The 21 st century has signaled a new dawn in the field of research where scientists are increasingly focused on genetics to understand how it affects behavior responsible for the interaction. The article has further sought to assess the importance of spatial abilities in the process of societal interaction. Spatial abilities are increasingly developed as children explore their outside environment. Among adults, their social characteristics are influenced several distortions and biases that ultimately have a toll on their interaction.
