Remembering client individuality is significant because it must be protected and respected. For clients seeking healthcare services, treating them as individuals is an essential aspect of their entire experience and in protecting their dignity during this difficult time. I would respond to my colleague that, every patient experiences healthcare services in individual and unique way (Kadushin & Kadushin, 2013). I will remind him/her that, recognizing and attending to the patient as an individual is significant. He should learn to treat patients and value their individuality, in a manner respectful to them as valued individuals. I will tell my colleague that, whenever patients hear healthcare professionals discuss their individuality, they feel devalued, and feel uncomfortable. They may feel ashamed, and humiliated. For that reason, the colleague should give medication without violating patient worth or value.

Importance Of Research When Helping Clients With Sexual Abuse Problems

Personal bias is likely to play into interpretation of the study, especially in data collection, analysis and planning and can lead to harmful practices. One should accept that, what worked in one situation cannot automatically apply in another setting (Hammersley, 2014).

For the individual rejecting research as a hyped activity, I will approach him and remind him that, research is significant in helping to understand the problems facing victims of sexual abuse, and it always offer workable solutions or better ways of handling such situations. I will explain that research has assisted in coming up with new knowledge of handling sexual abuse victims (Hammersley, 2014). Owing to research, it is possible to understand the root cause of the sexual abuse activities, and that way, it is possible to identify effective solutions towards the same. By using a specific group of individuals that represent the entire population, researchers use their experience to identify even the smallest details associated with sexual abuse, which are not likely to be seen by ordinary approach of the situation. Such an approach is significant because the researchers unlock the underlying rot in the society and direct their energy towards coming up with mechanisms of dealing with the sexual abuse problem once and for all (Hammersley, 2014).

Multicultural Influences Play A Role In Determining A Research Study Is Appropriate

From a professional perspective, multicultural influences play a role in determining a research study is appropriate when handling problems. Culture influences the diagnosis and treatment to administer to culturally diverse people. the individuals should be evaluated, so that the professional can determine the appropriate treatment and diagnosis plan acceptable to a given people. in often cases, assessing minority patients come with complexities, when compared with nonminority population, especially when the patient comes from a different ethnic or cultural background from that of the professional (Al-Bannay et al. 2014). In that case, professionals are expected to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge competent to handle the problems facing the various multicultural groups. Professionals need to acquire knowledge on the cultural identity of the patient, and in some cases, they can seek the assistance of cultural consultant to avoid misdiagnosis and biases (Al-Bannay et al. 2014). Professionals should be privy that, their own beliefs, attitudes and identity towards individuals from multicultural setting is likely to have an impact on the relationship they have with them. additional skills may be needed, especially because in often cases, some research studies may not be applicable in handling certain situations. Modifications may be needed, or better still, situations will demand they conduct family interviews and psychological tests (Al-Bannay et al. 2014).
