Sociology is a systematic study of society and social interaction. The purpose of the study is to understand the reasons as to why people behave the way they do. People behave in different ways in the same gathering and react differently to a similar situation, which made the sociologists have the interest in conducting studies using different methods, to unearth the reasons that determine the behaviors and the reaction of individuals to certain situations, some of the research techniques used Sociologists are; survey, participant observation, and quantitative data analysis. Social imagination is, however, is the ability of an individual to understand their past and relate it to that of others and the societal structure. This enables an individual to understand the society in general in order to suit better in the society.
Being thirty years old and a father of two, I understand the challenges that I face as I perform my obligations of raising a family in the right way that is acceptable in the society. With the advancement in the modern technology, the world has been made smaller as the interaction has been made much easy by the development of the social media platforms such as Facebook, Tweeter, WhatsApp, and many others, has helped in relying on communication in real-time across the word. Sociology has had a significant effect on my personal life in several ways. First, the immediate family interaction, secondly, interaction with the fellow students and the community at large. These three groups have different behavior and require to be handled in varying degrees when it comes to socialization.

My immediate family consists of myself, my wife and two kinds. As the head of the house, I am tasked with understanding the personality of each family member, so that it can be easier putting up with them and avoid conflicts at all cost. For instance, my last born daughter always craves for attention from anyone around her failure to which she becomes annoyed and unruly. As parents, my wife and I have learned to cope with her demands, while still teaching her that she can be calm like her elder brother while telling her that it's better than being unruly. This has helped her change substantially, and she can now cope with anyone in the family without being chaotic in her demands.
The students' society is comprised of people of different from different backgrounds with different lifestyles and life preferences. This is one complicated setting that one needs to properly study their close associates to ease the way you fit in such a social setting. The study has positively impacted my skills of socialization within this social cycle. In order to cope with a variety of personalities within the students' organization, I have been able to study their characters and behaviors. My social imagination has helped me in many ways to relate my past to the behaviors and characters of the colleagues thus making a milestone towards having a peaceful coexistence amongst ourselves and the outside world. This has helped in avoiding conflicting within the social cycle while creating efficient ways of conflict resolution.
While dealing with the outside community, one needs to properly understand the community's way of life as well as their behaviors. The best way to deal with a society which is comprised of people of different personalities, try to relate the findings to your past behavior and evaluate your suitability in such a group of people. I learned to, in the best way possible; avoid situations which may cause misunderstanding, triggering conflict. The study has been helpful to me since I have always learned to be on the safer side of life while encouraging others to embrace a positive attitude towards everybody in the society, to be able to live peacefully and a productive life.
