The manager is right that making stereotypes assists people in filling the missing gaps or information, for instance, the characteristics of an individual that cannot be easily observed and that can only become visible after a long duration. Moreover, stereotypes aid us in organizing information more systematically by placing individuals into categories that are predetermined. Even though there is some truth in most stereotypes, there is also plenty of problems as well as distortion that could result in the discrimination of employees. In most times, it is unlikely that an individual fits the stereotype that he or she has been given, so people tend to give traits and characteristics that are simply not true. Stereotyping makes it hard for people to change their beliefs about a particular individual concerning features that do not agree with the given stereotype.

I like to familiarize myself with the knowledge of other cultures including history, beliefs, values, and behaviors of other cultural groups. I respect and accept the differences within cultures to avoid making stereotypes since cultural assumptions can make us make the wrong conclusions.
