How Google Will Change While Meeting Its Strategic Challenges In The Future

Companies across the world are aware that they are operating in a dynamic and ever-changing business climate. According to Walsh, Sturman & Longstreet (2010), human resource managers regularly put up measures to counteract such challenges once they emerge to ensure maximum productivity. Google is aware of such scenarios has set up some procedural policies to ensure that it is still in operation even in the face of challenges encounters in its course of activities. These policies are meant to ensure that it remains competitive even as more companies offering the same services as Google keeps on coming up. The procedural policies are intended to provide innovativeness in service delivery to curb the current and future competitors. As it is Google has put forward various strategic measures to secure its future. One of such actions includes the inclusion of Alphabet which is tasked with overseeing the new initiatives which are launched by Google (Ritson, 2015). In future, Google may roll out more strategies like these to help stay afloat in the ever-increasing competitive global market. In addition to this, Google is well aware that a suitable organizational structure is paramount if it is to make the most out of its business operations (Ritson, 2015). According to Frenz (2017), as it is Google has embraced the cross-functional type of an organizational structure which includes management which is innovative. In this way, the company is assured that it will be able to deal with any challenges in future (Frenz, 2017).

Kind of Workers Needed

Workers are essential when it comes to achieving any company’s short, medium and long-term objectives. It is the workers who have the skills, knowledge, and abilities to turn around any company. Google is aware of this fact should endeavor to conduct rigorous recruitment and selection of employees who are keen on delivering on the promise that Google assures its many users. According to Frenz (2017), Google has invested in employees who are also a part of the management team to ensure accountability. These workers also have the freedom to work various assignments as well as propose how to do better their jobs which awaken their innovativeness which is crucial in fostering Google’s growth and market presence. The employees are very knowledgeable the fields of technology, content development, marketing as well as customer relations. Additionally, the employees should be made part of all the company’s strategies to contribute to the running of this business efficiently. In ensuring proper service delivery by the workers, there is need to ensure that they are well motivated. The motivation can be through attractive payment packages which are paid on merit depending on the profitability of such employees. However, the compensation packages should reflect the market conditions to avoid overpayment or underpayment of the employees to the detriment of the company. More so the company should continuously promote those workers who prove their worth to the company and who endeavor to come up with innovative strategies to improve this company.

In conclusion, any company that is keen on thriving in the face of increased competition should come up with various strategies which are intentional and well thought out. Google is such a company that has continued to thrive even in the face of increased competition. It has been able to do so by embracing innovativeness and proper customer relations. However, the future is uncertain as there is increased competition which may threaten this company’s financial stability. It is because of such uncertainties that Google should invest in the right kind of workers with the right skills, knowledge, and abilities to deal with such risks. These employees who will be tasked with running the company’s affairs should, in turn, be appropriately compensated about prevailing market conditions to steer Google to greater possibilities.
