The rationale for Inclusion of Technology in the Classroom
In several states in America today, the use of technology in the classroom is no longer a choice but a necessity. The common core’s standards indicate that a student has to be technologically and digitally savvy for them to be ready for college and career. Incorporating technology in the classroom is a good idea for a number of reasons. Technology is a great avenue for students to demonstrate independence because it provides options for goal accomplishment. Technology also makes it possible for students to build and enhance their content knowledge because it makes information readily available. It becomes possible for students to research on and pursue anything that they wish to learn. Different students have different demands, goals, and plans, and technology responds to all these in a unique manner that is easy to understand by all those involved. When writing their dissertations, proposals, and other research papers, students can use technology to click through primary research papers to support their argument and they can also push back in case those connections are not available (Formaspace, 2019) . There is just a lot of benefits that come with the use of technology to facilitate learning in the classroom, and this proves to be the best way to deepen learning and make it exciting. It also makes learning easier and connects global students.
Using technology makes it possible for students to learn in different ways, both in the classroom and from home. Educational technology has resulted in blended learning and flipped classrooms. It is no longer common to find students sitting at their desks that are arranged in neat rows. The education paradigm has shifted to facilitate the group and individual learning projects and this has shifted the role of the teacher to that of an educational resource to answer questions, provide guidance and assessments, and facilitate learning. Students get to access information online and collaborate with each other using various online tools. It is now possible to teach advanced concepts using Virtual Reality, Animation and Augmented Reality. Technologies like live videos and learning stations make it possible for students to skip class altogether and learn remotely, which is quite impressive for long-distance learners.

Technology is increasingly growing, and it is evident that the classroom environment will no longer be the same from this point henceforth. Also, I will need to learn all these technologies and stay up to date with the same in readiness for my future professional practice. I hope that we will be able to create flexible environments that are easily adaptive to be able to grow with technology.
