Managing energy is essential as it helps regulate and minimize its usage and increase its time of use. Therefore, there is a need to enact proper strategies to ensure that the state's energy will be used for an extended period. I would implement the following strategies within Georgia state. Since the discovery of electricity, energy storage techniques have evolved. Developing energy storage facilities in Georgia, such as thermal storage and pumped hydropower, would help manage the power supply, resulting in resilient energy infrastructure, and increasing energy sustainability. Thermal energy storage would store energy as molten salt and later used to drive turbines to generate electricity (Sebarchievici and Sarbu). Together with pumped hydropower, thermal storage will be applied in industries and buildings within Georgia state to store energy, which can be utilized later, thereby prolonging the life of energy sources in the state. Using energy sparingly in industries and homes can save a lot of energy. I would advise all Georgia citizens on the benefits and strategies of reducing energy wastage, such as using power strips, using LED bulbs, and investing in energy-efficient home appliances. This will enable the efficient use of available energy and prolonged use in the future. I would invest my budget in renewable sources of energy. I chose renewable energy because Georgia has many renewable energy sources, such as hydroelectric power. It has a large part occupied by forest, agricultural land, and biomass. It also contains wood processing mills and fueling plants (EIA). The offshore waters have considerable areas with a substantial wind energy source located I n the shallow depths and the land and river valleys. These resources would help in the generation of renewable energy. Additionally, renewable energy reduces environmental pollution by minimizing CO 2 emissions. I chose the above strategies as they are viable solutions to conserving energy. Energy storage systems help store energy for future purposes, resulting in lower energy costs and energy sustainability. Additionally, creating awareness of techniques to save energy helps save energy that could be used in the future, reducing cost and increasing sustainability.
