In view of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the major themes coming out include health, education, equality, wealth creation, food security, and gender among others. One of the most appealing goals is Zero Hunger. This goal is simply meant to ensure that, forestry, fisheries, and agriculture are carried out appropriately, to ensure individuals have access to nutritious foods, besides offering protection to the environment. The United Nations is fully aware that, lack of food security has subjected children to suffer malnutrition, and experience stunted growth. In a bid to curb this menace, ensuring zero hunger remains the only way out. However, in order to achieve this objective, adaptive management must be utilized. It will ensure that planners and managers are brought on board to provide solutions to the unfavorable climate that leads to low food production in rural areas, and in other agricultural regions. The stakeholders will be in a position to identify the appropriate behaviors to adopt, the necessary actions to take, and the best decisions to embrace toward solving the food shortage problem. By utilizing adaptive management strategies, the United Nations will manage to focus on the needed change that will provide a long-term solution to the food problem. The organization will adopt multiple options in a bid to narrow down to the best strategy that will solve the food menace in totality. In its context, adaptive management does not operate on a trial-and-error basis, rather, it is well-structured, deliberate, and purposeful. In that case, it will provide the United Nations with the appropriate steps to adopt, to improve the situation as it is. In short, the approach will ensure that the proper action is taken to eliminate hunger and food shortage across the globe. The approach will point out at areas that require focus to increase capacity for agricultural productivity.
