Emergency and crisis management is hastened every time there is a terrorist attack in America. This is done as a way of strengthening and improving security to ensure that such incidences do not occur again in the future. Specific incidences of terrorism that have in the past led to the government taking up measures to tighten the crisis and emergency response system is the attack that happened in September 2001 (Miller, 2018) . The measures required treating terrorism differently from a normal disaster since it’s something done intentionally to hurt or kill people. President Bush came up with the homeland security program that deals with internal terrorism issues. The homeland security team function is to protect people from terrorist attacks if possible prevent the attacks from occurring and if prevention is not possible then they should respond well to minimize effects in case of an attack (Miller, 2018) .
Recently, America has been experiencing a series of terrorist attacks and each comes with different measures proposed by president Trump to reduce such cases. For instance, two different attacks occurred one in New York City and the other one in Las Vegas and the president was quick to respond to both cases. The first thing president trump did was to call upon and give federal support in the investigation of the cases (Zurcher, 2017) . After the shootout in Las Vegas, he banned the return and entry of ISIS to the country. This was also supported by strengthening the border security program.

The president also blamed the increased cases of terrorism on immigration that is happening in the country with minimal control. So as to deal with the situation, he called for the Diversity Visa Lottery Program to be banned as a way of controlling the number of immigrants into the country (Zurcher, 2017) . Although terrorism attacks contribute highly to the strengthening of emergency and crisis response measures should be developed to prevent these attacks from occurring. This is the best response system.
