Texting is a communication method mostly used by millenniums and generation Z that has affected their ability to communicate face to face detrimentally. Texting was created to make terms of communicating simpler, but it has had a negative impact as far as face-to-face interaction is concerned (Lenhart, 2012) . When a text message is sent, the purpose and emotion needed to be conveyed can be misinterpreted easily. Texts are valued much these days that their disadvantages are rarely noticed, especially by the millenniums and generation Z even though the disadvantages of texting outweigh the advantages.

As human beings, it essential that we communicate naturally face to face with others as opposed to the texting that has made it difficult for people to interact on one on one basis. Efforts have to be put in place to salvage the deplorable state of communication currently observed primarily among the teenagers where they prefer texting over face to face communication. The efforts would make human beings use face to face communication, given that it essential in our day to day lives; for example, we need to interact to learn our native languages ( Drago, 2015) . Limiting text messaging, as well as phone times. Discipline must be enforced to restrict text messaging; for instance, children have to be forced to switch off their phones to limit the number of hours on their phones. With limited phone hours and once they attain the limits, the children can be face to face communicators, and they can avoid depressions that come with excessive phone use ( Kim et al., 2015)

Turning off noises in the house. Noises from gadgets such as television, music, and phones must be switched off, and one on one talks enhanced, especially in a family set up. Communicating with loved ones one on one is critical in encouraging and discipline. Families that take meals together with no phone use during the process raise children that are capable and confident due to the connection created by communication.

Forcing children to interact with many adults. Children need the opportunity to interact with adults at an early stage. The communication between adults fosters adult-like responsibilities that include making doctor and haircuts appointments and even doing shopping and grocery ( Jin & Park, 2010) . Face to face communication between children and adults help raise responsible children hence a reliable generation even in the future,

Creating vacations that limit phone use. Vacations, especially over the holidays with restrictions over the use of phones, helps in making a face to face communication a reality ( Jin & Park, 2010) . The vacations must include activities that involve team building, games that are played in pairs, and other activities that engage one person to the other. One on one interactions during the holidays encourages face to face communication as opposed to texting.
