Bombing attack can result to a devastating loss of innocent lives and the country at large (Castle, 2015). Terrorists have continued to cause great havoc even to countries with modern intelligence security systems. The 2005 London Transit System bombing from terrorists left 52 people dead and over 700 injured. The 52 people who perished were from different nationalities; 32 from United kingdom, 1 from Poland, 3 from Italy, 1 from France, 1 from Ghana, 1 from USA, 1 from Australia, 1 from Afghanistan, 1 from India, 1 from New Zealand, 1 from Mauritius, 1 from Romania, 1 from Nigeria, 1 from Sri Lanka, 1 from Turkey, 1 from Iran, 1 from Grenada, 1 from Israel and 1 from Kenya. From this information we can attest that the attack killed many nationalists from a diverse origins and backgrounds. According to Castle (2015), their ages ranged from 20 years to 60 years. The underground train bombings occurred around the Circle line in Aldgate and Russell square. The four suicide bombers were identified as Mohamed Sadique Khan aged 30, Shehzad Tanweer aged 22, Germaine Lindsay aged 19 and Hasib Hussein aged 18. Triacetone triperoxide is an organic peroxide and high explosive. The IEDs were produced by reaction of acetone and hydrogen peroxide. Triacetone triperoxide is commonly used by terrorists because its easily prepared by from ready available shop ingredients such as hair bleacher and nail polish. These homemade bombs can escape police explosive detection scanners because it is one of the few explosives that don’t contain nitrogen in its composition (Young, 2016).

The same IEDs that was used in London were used in November 2015 Paris attack that killed 130 people and injuring more than 430 people, 2016 Brussels bombings that claimed the lives of 35 people and injuring 300 people and the Manchester Arena bombings that claimed the lives of 23 people and wounding more the 800 people.

In the 2005 London Transit System bombing, there was misinformation on the whereabouts of the bomb attacks that later led to people exiting the trains in panic. Passengers fled from many train stations causing confusion and increased attacks. London law enforcement, fire and medical personnel and public health authorizes caused misinformation in issuing the protocol information. This resulted to attacks on confused people which inflicted injuries to more than 700 people that could be minimized by the right information flow. For example the first bomb exploded on six car London underground C69 and C77 subsurface train. The second bomb exploded in train number 216 and the third bomb exploded at train number 311.
According to Young (2016) the train attacks caused many lives loss compared to bus attack. This is due to the large number of people that used the train during rush hours compared to people who use the bus during the rush hour in London. In conclusion the 2005 London Transit System bombing caused a serious devastating attack on humanity. Future terrorist attacks must be eradicated by the unity of countries in fighting the terrorists.
