There are vital arguments in the video, as presented by William Craig. First, Craig explains that without God, life will be meaningless. It will neither have value nor purpose. In this case, human beings are doomed to die, and nothing they do will matter because it lacks the ultimate significance. Surprisingly, this means that even advances that men have developed, without God, they are insignificant and meaningless. Secondly, William argues that there is no way life will have morality without God. It would be challenging to determine what is right and what is wrong, considering that there will be no after-life where people will be held accountable for their actions. Thirdly, life without God does not have a purpose because, in the end, everything will be destroyed. This means that even if human beings feel that they have succeeded, it will be short-lived. Therefore, he concludes that without God, life will be absurd.
On a further note, I think that William’s arguments are sound and valid. First, I feel that without God, our lives will not be meaningful because he is the reason why we remain hopeful and optimistic. We make progress in life, advance knowledge, and even help other people because we feel that God has instructed us to do well for the sake of humanity. Therefore, if there were no God, we would not feel the need to help other people or even live in peace with them. More so, life will not have any value because human beings will not have a foundation of morality that guides them on what is right or wrong. As a result, I also feel that without God, our lives would be nothing, without any drive, and implication. There would be no goal to life and, therefore, it would be a complete absurdity.
