The video is of an expressive form of dance called the Rubberband Dance Method. It was formed by Victor Quijada and has gained mass audience approval since early 2000. The rubberband dance method proves to be the most culturally diverse, mentally engaging and physically demanding dance in the contemporary society.

The Rubberband Dance Method encompasses different cultures in its routine. As can be seen in the video, the hip-hop culture is expressed by some of the dancers both in the routine and in the musical beats. The hip-hop dance is often characterized as freestyle. There are elements of street dancing expressed in the video with street dancing considered to be social in nature hence encouraging contact with other dancers. Further, ballet is highly insinuated, as seen by the frequent gestures and precise set steps used. Also evident in the video is the jazz dance style which is a style that encourages individual style and originality. The technical dance moves used by the dancers are also similar to the concert classical dance routines.

This dance method is said to be quite mentally engaging. As seen in the video there is clearly a story told; a story that shows the interrelationship between the five people and their individual traits manifesting themselves. To deliver such a message to an audience through dance requires intense mental ingenuity. The dancers are required to interpret the message they want delivered: comedy, tragedy, love and link it with the moves. As seen in the video they are also expected to partner with others during the routine. Decision making skills are thus imperative for the dancers in order to make the routine work as shown by the video.

It goes without saying that the Rubberband Dance Method is thoroughly physically engaging. The dancers get to twist their bodies, face upside down, stay still for a time, turn around, jump, co-ordinate both their hand and feet movement, balance on either limbs and even somersault. To be able to showcases some of the dances seen in the video, the dancers need to meet certain physical requirements. The dancers in the video also display astounding floor work, physical agility and spatial awareness.

In conclusion, the video displays a culturally diverse dance. The dance requires great interpretive skills to reach the audience. The mental prowess should be matched by the physical fitness to portray the dance successfully as well.
