The four books that I have read and enjoyed include a) The Animal Farm by George Orwell, b) The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, c) Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela, and Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Letcher. The book that I never intend to read is the Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie.

All these books use different poetic devices to create the required impression in the minds of the reader and elicit a certain response. The Animal Farm by George Orwell uses a number of poetic devices to portray certain aspects in society. Some of the devices used include i) satire, ii) metaphors, iii) imagery, iv) personification, and v) similes, among others.

Several poetic devices are also used by Nelson Mandela in his book The Long Walk to Freedom. The devices used in the book include i) personification, ii) metaphors, iii) similes, iv) feelings, v) change, and vi) assonance, among others.

The book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Letcher is rich in poetic devices which include i) imagery, ii) alliterations, iii) assonances, iv) personification, v) similes, and vi) metaphors, among others.

On the other hand, The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie is a controversial book which mainly uses imagery and personification as its main poetic devices.
