The article chosen for this paper is optimizing the benefits of self-monitoring among patients with cancer. The purpose and the objective of the research study are to carry out an investigation on oncology professional views and experience in envisioned feasibility in the incorporation of the patient practice of self-monitoring (Purtzer, 2016) . The research study is a descriptive study that takes an interpretive approach. The study hypothesis is patient self-service monitoring has a huge potential in the provision of patient data that guides clinical decisions. The study has developed a setting with four healthcare systems alongside five cancer treatment centers in three states. The study sample comprised of thirty-eight nurses. 

The credibility of the research study can be evaluated by focusing on elements such as timeliness, authority, audience, relevance, and perspective. The research study is timely, having used a source that is confined to four years' time duration (Liao & Hitchcock, 2018) . The study has used timely data from a nursing forum. The source of the data used in the study is authentic and peer-reviewed. The credentials are well cited and referenced. The study has a well-defined audience; the healthcare sector stakeholders, especially those specializing in cancer treatment. The study aims to convince the audience to rethink on patient-centered care and patient monitoring programs.
