From Bobo Doll Experiment videos, there are several links between modeled aggression and domestic violence. The experiment from the video explores Albert Bandura’s social learning theory. It involved small children being exposed to different types of violence and aggression as a way of studying the modelled behaviors by adults which are reflected on children. This shows that modeled aggression is related to domestic violence through learning. Bandura demonstrated that aggressive behaviors among children were learned from their parent’s aggressive tendencies. Besides increasing the likelihood of a child hitting something, watching a parent hit another person can also increase their belief that hitting is okay (Lansford, 2016). Therefore, the exposure to domestic violence increases the aggressive behavior among children.
Domestic violence between parents is closely associated with children’s problem solving strategies and behaviors. Bobo Doll experiment videos show that children’s aggressiveness when dealing with frustrations are most often imitated from the violent behaviors they see from adults. Bandura argues that the violent actions of the adults toward the dolls made children think that the actions are acceptable hence increasing their aggressiveness when dealing with problems (Bandura, 1967). Therefore, domestic violence is positively associated with modelled aggression towards aggressive problem solving and negatively related to assertive problem solving among children.

Recent trends show that there are small overall effects of exposure to violence especially in passive media like films, televisions and video games on the aggressive behavior of children. Children who watch and play violent films and video games tend to be more aggressive and mercurial. Additionally, preexisting mental health problems like emotional and behavioral difficulties is related to an increased risk for aggression. Gender also plays a role in aggressive behavior. Boys are more aggressive than girls are since they are more interested in actions depicting aggression and most of them tend to watch violent movies and play aggressive video games. The current generation is more familiar with violent behaviors witnessed through televisions, films as well as the internet, which tends to be the major causes of aggressive behaviors not only among adults but also among children.
