This paper is founded upon the project schedule generated in the second paper part A. to commence with while coming up with the project schedule; it is considered that the activities or tasks of the projects will be conducted on normal weekdays under normal working 8 hours in a day. All the holy days, weekends, and holidays are excluded since no activity will take place on those days.

When will the project be completed?

The construction of the baseball stadium is set to commence on August 1, 2018 and shall be completed on December 13, 2024. The project is approximated to take 2290 days to accomplish construction of the stadium. If the project manager ensures that the critical path and avoids using 60 calendar slack days they shall complete the project before the stipulated deadline ( Harrison, & Lock, 2017)

What is the critical path for the project?

Basing on the project plan developed, the project has two paths that are critical. The first critical path entails the following tasks 2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 14, 15, 20. The second critical path entails the following the path 2, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 15, 20. The length of critical path involves 1145 days ( Walker, 2015)

How much slack/float is in your project? What activities have the greatest slack/float?

The project has to be completed within 2290 days. The activity that has the highest slack are: installing Jumbotron, building luxury boxes and installing playing field. These are tasks that can be re-adjusted so that less time for completing the project is achieved ( Harrison, & Lock, 2017) . In normal circumstances, if the project has much slack, it means that the project can be readjusted hence reducing the time required for the project to be completed.

Identify the top three activities that may have an impact on the project completion date are:

Pour Main Concourse

Pour Lower Concrete Bowl

Drive Support Piling

Unseen delays

Unavailability of the resources

Lack of funds

The reason I selected Pour Main Concourse, Pour Lower Concrete Bowl, Drive Support Piling tasks is because the activities have zero slack and are a crucial part of the two critical paths that I identified. If the project experiences any delays on this activities, other activities or tasks will be delayed and eventually affect the completion period of the project ( Walker, 2015).

What additional activities would you add to this project to make it more complete, from a project

management viewpoint?

To make the project more complete, the project manager should be able to introduce and implement the project planning phase ( Walker, 2015). This phase is one of the most crucial phases in any project. In this phase, the project objectives and charters will be recognized. Additionally, the project requires evaluations, and it must be conducted during this phase so that the project manager could identify what the project requires to be complete (Kerzner, & Kerzner, 2017). Also, the planning phase will involve coming up with the project budget or plan. Furthermore, the additional activity that I will add to the project is to include extra time for the completion of the activities to avoid unseen delays. This activity is important because it ensures the project is completed on the stipulated time. Similarly, I will ensure the project has additional recourse to cater for breakages or wastes that result from construction activities (Kerzner, & Kerzner, 2017). Last but not least, I will ensure that the funds of the project are pre-approved in advance to ensure all the fund for each activity is available, this will eradicate delays in each task. Finally, I will ensure that the sponsor approves the project plan and charters in a timely manner.
