Mr. President, considering the weighty and desperate situation, it is wise to make the hard decision on the seemingly severe state of affairs. Having that the North Korea government is ready to give up on their nuclear weapons programs because we remove our forces from South Korea. I think we should indeed depart our military bases from the continent of South Korea, have a written assurance to North Korea for the same and build a strong diplomatic relationship with North Korea.

Considering the danger and threat of nuclear weapons held by the government of North Korea, denuclearization is vital. Reducing pressure, threats and consequently saving lives should come first in the order of our priorities considering that mass loss of lives is prone to ensue if the US government insists on maintaining its military bases in South Korea contrast to North Korea demand (McInnis et al., 2017). If at all it takes removing our military bases to archive denuclearization then that is what we need to do and compromise on other things.

Secondly, you need to write to North Korea on your decision and demand through intentional institutions. The choice of accepting the Korean deal should have written document; it should not be verbally echoed just the same way you did on the 2018 negations denuclearization pledge. The 2005 statement on denuclearization came as a result of years of negations through written documents ( Klingner, 2018) . As such, written report through international institutions such as the United Nations and the embargos would prevent diplomacy trickery by providing ground evidence.
Most importantly, building diplomatic relations with North Korea is essential. History has it that the relationship between the United States and the North Korean government has been hostile (Klingner, 2018) . For this, building strong diplomatic relations between the United States and North Korea will be in favor of peace, reduced political pressure and prosperity. The North Korea government would be more willing to fulfill its end part of the deal when the two parties have a healthy relationship.
For this, it is clear that tough situations call for a tough decision. There is always something we can compromise on. The US cannot archive all its goals neither can North Korea. As such, we need to compromise n removing our military bases from South Korea as the North Korea compromise in giving up their nuclear weapon. Building strong diplomatic relations and negotiations through international institution would even make this decision more practical.
