Love is regarded as a dynamic and powerful force that one plays out in a number of cognitive, social and emotional ways. There are several types of love relationships such as mania, eros, storge, pragma, ludus, and agape. The eros type of love experienced as a romantic, fairy-type love which depends majorly on physical beauty (Acevedo and Aron, 2009). Storgic types tend to be stable and committed in their relationships and value psychological closeness, companionship and trust. In the ludic kind of love, individuals view it as a game they are playing to win. Individuals are okay with deception as well as relationship manipulation. In the pragma type of relationships, logic is utilized to determine compatibility and future prospects. The mania is an obsessive love style where individual tend to emotionally dependent and need continuous reassurance in a relationship. Additionally, the agape types are giving and caring and centered on the needs of the partners. It is largely a selfless and unconditional love.

Pragma is a reasonable type of love established on or obligation and have longer-term interests. In this kind of love, the personal quality and shared goals are the most considered aspect as compared to sexual attraction. Pragma must have been common in the days of arranged marriages. As much as it is not fashionable, it is widespread in certain high profile celebrity and political pairings. I selected pragma because is a kind of love that the practical aspects of a relationship as the most significant driving force. More so, it is a kind of that can last and survive beyond any flush of romance. It enables lovers to weigh up what they consider to be essential traits for their relationship and based on their views on whether love is desirable or not. I identify with this kind of love relationship because I am the kind of person who is keen on personal qualities and shared goals.
