Sugars is a simple term used to refer to a carbohydrate which has a sweet-tasting, that are mostly used in foods. Sugars are also contained in different tissues of plants. This paper will aim at explaining the difference between natural sugars and added sugars, and also identify items with food labels.
To start with, natural sugars are those kinds of sugars found in fruits and vegetables, they are also contained in dairy products like milk while added sugars are those sugars that are those that are added to foods in the process of production in order to come up with a more refined and complete product. These two kinds of sugars differ in a number of ways, firstly, natural sugars are found in natural fruits while added sugar is derived from sugarcane where it undergoes a process to obtain sugar, secondly, added sugar is digested very first by the body tissues compared to natural sugars.

Another difference is that added sugar causes obesity and other diseases such as cancer in human being more that natural sugars, this is because added sugar is easily absorbed by the body thereby increasing blood sugar levels in human beings unlike natural sugars which are only found on the skin of fruits. The natural sugars unlike added, are used as a reduction of obesity and cancer because fruits are containing fibers and water.
Both sugars being carbohydrates, natural sugars provide longer sources of energy compared to added sugars because natural sugars are contained in fruits and fruits have fiber which slows down glucose digestion, reducing insulin levels in the body unlike added sugar which are processed so easily.
