The approach utilizes various language learning strategies with unique features under the motivation of different assumptions. The learning objectives and the learner’s ability to comprehend are the key variables that are considered while using eclectic. Various teaching techniques are utilized to meet the needs of the learners. The approach is crucial because; students are provided with a variety of ideas ranging from procedural and conceptual knowledge and skills, different techniques within the approach are utilized in providing the learners with the different aspects of the ideas and skills, each kind of instructional approach has its diminishing return as seen in the 80 to 20 principle, and, the learners’ features usually vary in various ways like in the learning preferences and probability of success when the different approaches are used to educate them, but the approach aims at uniting these features with a single style of teaching. In all the methodologies within the approach, the best combination should be blended to offer a maximum outcome, that is, the maximum good for the maximum number so that the students achieve worthy learning objectives (Pritchard, 2018).

Some of the advantages that come with the approach are; it transfers many skills to learners which boosts their creativity as well as confidence, it also accommodates because the learning activities are done in accordance to the available resources, it is highly the right approach for preschool education and also beneficial to classrooms, and the approach is wide such that the human nature of wanting to experience new things over time is catered for ( Tabrani & Masbur, 2016).

The behaviorism theory has the capability of defining behaviors clearly and measuring the changes in the same. Also, if fewer assumptions are made, then the results become better and credible. Also, being a scientific technique, it is a great strength because scientific methodologies like lab experiments allow control over the variables. Therefore, psychologists can easily come up with the reasons and the impact of relations between the variables. Also, it is a good way of managing classrooms. For instance, if the teachers offer positivity towards the learners' performance on certain positive behavior, then the learners will learn to cultivate it by themselves and vice versa is also true, which is seen in punishments ( Kay, & Kibble, 2016).

The strengths associated with social cognitive theory in learning include; it provides the capability to relate to practical examples in real life, the theory is also highly comprehensive, and takes consideration on the environment and human behavior into consideration. It also focuses on punishment and reinforcement, along with motivation, how people work to attain their goals and self-efficacy, as well as focus on self-regulation.

The information processing theory takes pride in providing learners with formulae to get extra knowledge from the materials that have been presented such that it sticks to the memory and can be provided whenever required. A vast amount of information is processed into substantial value. It also promotes dynamics in the mental structure of the learners, and it helps in understanding the various thinking stages and types (Illeris, 2018). It is very applicable in decision making and efficient communication since it impacts such skills on learners.

For learners, the constructivism theory offers an active learning environment. Through collaboration and discussions, there is an engagement in active thoughts and, thus, eradication of passive learning, hence, this promotes critical thinking (Harasim, 2017). There is increased recollection of materials used in learning, teamwork, more thoughts, and self-management techniques that are acquired by learners. The ability to find solutions to problems is also acquired.
