The Twentieth Century was a period of breakthrough in the visual art industry because of the advent of technology in the society. It was at this period that artists were provided more advanced devices that enhanced the imaging aspect of their creations enhancing the quality of art while at the same time attracting more appeal from the target audience. For instance, the ‘Duchamp, Fountain’ elucidated a series of debates on its significance in art owing to the fact that there were issues concerning the ownership of the art. However, the major issue of debate was how technology enhanced its creation. It was evident that it was clear, more appealing, and was subject substantiated creativity. Moreover, it can be argued that technology improve the horizon of creativity on the visual art of the 2oth Century.

In the entirety of Duchamp – Fountain art of 1917, it is worth acknowledging that the artist positively influenced the visual art creations of the 20 th century in many ways. For instance, present and upcoming artists understood that by changing or altering and decontextualizing displaces objects from their original artistic attributes hence an element of art. It is true that the artist only changed the positioning of the original object and posed with it as his original thought and creation. The underlying reasoning being that by turning it on its side, it completely changed the viewer’s perception of the original object. By integrating the attributes of the technology of the day, one can create meaning through art whether from an originally available object or through creating a completely new artifact. 

What do you observe about his work? 

From the video about Theo Jansen's sculptures, it is evident that the sculptures can move on their own with minimal human influence to signify the positive impacts of integrating technology in art. A close view shows the sculptures in three dimensional attributes with an expressive character. Moreover, the sculptures entirely have geometrical properties that incorporate the elements of design in visual art. The aim of Theo Jansen's sculptures is to create a clear understanding of form and space in the ever-changing world.
