Global climate changes have a significant impact on countries domestic resources. It is thus essential for policymakers to incorporate the local climate policy frameworks into the environmental policy. The adoption of these policy frameworks will assist in the management of environmental resources and mitigate climate change ( Wallace, 2017) . To incorporate and adopt the domestic climate policy frameworks into a comprehensive environmental policy, policymakers can support the creation of climate policy /reforms, develop long term climate goals and integrate the local climate policy frameworks to international/global environmental policy.
In Canada, the Stockholm's Parliament House (Riksdag) in June 2017 made a historical decision that supports the creation of new climate policy /reforms. Riksdag introduced a climate policy framework consisting of a climate policy council, a climate Act and new climate goals into the countries environmental policy ( Stenmark, 2017) . The decision was based on policymaker’s agreement between different cross-party committees all focused on the state’s environmental agenda. The implementation of new climate reforms will lead to sustainable environmental management.

The United States government during President Obama was very instrumental in the creation of developing long term climate goals. America created the Environmental Protection Agency that was mandated to the creation of long-term climate goals that foster environmental protection (Durant, 2017) . The clean power plan was also rolled out to ensure long term sustainability of the environment. Obamas administration also blocked the controversial Keystone XL pipeline and supported the reliance on Canadian sand oil which produces green gas that is climate-friendly and does not harm the environment.
China, the world’s highest contributor to climate change, has fully integrated its domestic climate policy frameworks to comply with the international/global environmental policy. Today, the China government is an active participant in the global environmental community (Durant, 2017) . All Chinas domestic climate policy frameworks are aligned to global environmental protection and also push for environmental reforms at a global level including the adoption of Paris Climate agreement.
