Organization Information 

The Merakey is behavioral health, development and educational non-profit organization that offers a wide range of integrated services to communities and individuals in the United States. The organization is located in the United States and is found in 11 states within the US including California, New Jersey, and Michigan. The organization was initially founded in 1980 but accredited later. The mission of the organization is to establish innovative solutions and new models of care able to meet individual needs (Merakey Org. 2019). The vision of the organization is to empower individuals and communities through integrated services. The organization has empowerment programs, educational programs, health programs, foster care, intellectual education and development of disabilities and substance abuse among others. A hierarchical type of organizational structure mainly characterizes the organization's workflow and chart. The organization is centrally managed, but the management is also delocalized to the different states in the United States. The organization sources its work force through both hiring and voluntary service. Top of the Merakey organization management is the organization's CEO, manager, programs manager, financial manager, and administrative manager among others (Merakey Org. 2019). 

Merakey is one of many organizations which employs multiple theories in the running of their business. They include; the power dependency theory, the scientific management theory, Organization culture theory, and the human relations theory among other. Based on the power dependency theory, the Merakey organization has several authority-ranks within the organization (Daft, 2015). The theory outlines the role of these ranks in an organization and how it is subject to employee control. The types of power that exist within the Merakey organization include connection and legitimate authority. Through connection power, the employees and subordinates listen to influential people that are affiliated to it through funding and other ways of affiliation. People holding high-level positions in the organization also get to exercise some level of powers as shown by the power dependency theory (Merakey Org. 2019). Technology has been part and parcel of the organization's efficiency in management. It is used in administration, service delivery and communication. This aligns with the scientific management theory which focuses on the use of science and technology in improving organizational productivity and economic efficiency (Waring, 2016).

The Merakey organization believes in community social responsibility. Community equality in access to health care and education are some of the fundamental tenets in which the organization is built. Organization culture theory entails all the values, beliefs and assumptions that are unique to the organization (Schein, 2010). The internal forces for the organization include the changes surrounding its structure and programs implementations. The external forces include the consumers, NGO's laws and regulation and similar products and services offered by other organization. The Merakey organization utilizes the strategic leadership that involves a leader heading an organization. The leadership has been instrumental for the organization because it has a broader audience than other organizations. The human relations theory outlines the benefits of practical habits of leaders and organization can rely on them for high performance. Although the organization is a non-profit organization, it relies on a circle communication pattern. Hierarchies and leaders in groups of different locations of the organization exist hence explaining the circle pattern of communication (Merakey Org. 2019). 

Organizational Empowerment 

The Merakey organization is one of the leading empowerment organization in the United States. The organization's empowerment role is based on the belief of adequate and equitable access to essential needs and services across all locations in the country. According to the tenets of the empowerment theory, empowerment is meant to implement change in the community. The emancipation for change is envisioned in the Merakey organization's goals and mission. The Merakey organization has been at the forefront in empowerment the community and indigenous group (Merakey Org. 2019). The non-profit organization has been at the forefront of providing essential services to individuals. There are several ways in which the organization empowers people. First, it provides foster care for parents having financial challenges and also offers educational kitty for needy students. Also, it has established self-employment programs and educational forums as well as providing health care services to different people. 

The organization is also active in empowerment for diverse groups. The intelligence and development of people with disability is one of the programs that fit empowerment for various groups. The program is meant to educate such people on mental and physical health. It also provides essential resources such as support equipment for these groups (Merakey Org. 2019). Women have also benefit widely from these empowerment programs through the provision of health care and maternal services. Example of this is the Michigan maternal services that provide maternal education and care. 

Resource Development 

Funding has been one of the challenges that commonly face the organization. The Merakey organization has several programs that require substantial funding for a smooth operation. The organization has its branches in several states in the US which also justifies its massive amount of funding. The organization partially relies on donations for their funding which involves several platforms of donations both from within and outside the country. Well-wishers have also played a part in the organization's funding. The organization also partners with different bodies and institutions in the US who help in operations funding (Merakey Org, 2019). The United States government also has in several circumstances come in for the aid of the organization's substantial financing. Resource development is part of the total quality management model. An efficient sourcing of funds and proper use plays a critical role in the quality management of the organization. Below is a list of the current funding sources for the Merakey organization.

Accountability Evaluation 

Accountability has been part of the Merakey organizational financial management. There are two methodologies that the organization uses in accounting for the funds received. One of the methods is auditing. The organization has advanced its auditing to include technology systems for recording and auditing information from different locations centrally. Employed and paid employees in the organization are also underperformance contract evaluation as a way of ensuring productivity and accountability (Merakey Org. 2019). 

Conclusion 

The Merakey organization has significantly contributed to the development of the community and the United States at large. Its information can be understood from a wide range of theories such as organization culture theory and scientific management model among other relevant theories. The organization continues to empower many lives in different communities which also includes the empowerment programs for women and people with disability. The organization also maintains a high level of accountability through auditing and contracts. And lastly, resource development also plays a vital role in the management of the organization. These funding sources include donations and well-wishers as discussed in this paper.
