I got an opportunity to work at the Deutsche Bank. After starting the job, I thought everything was easy, but later challenges tagged along, which were completely new and different from those I was used to. There are many things in life which are predictable while others are not including life itself. Soon after acquiring the bank job, I was assigned a team and a leadership role. A number of things were expected of me as a leader which if I failed then it would mean that numerous difficulties would be encountered. At first, I was all messed up since I gave in little effort but later I picked up well and headed the right way. During my first time in the bank after being introduced to my team, I wondered what my responsibilities would be. Having insufficient information resulted in having a number of tumbles but later I decided that getting in touch with them would prove important. Organizing a meeting with this team helped well in familiarizing with the area of specialization and other areas which would be incorporated. More so, it provided a great opportunity to share ideas and also brought other teams closer which proved helpful in educating me more about my numerous responsibilities.
As I faired on I decided that some modifications would help
in ensuring success and thus greater achievement for the bank. Therefore, I decided that cutting down the number of my team members by selecting the most suitable and competent individuals would be most appropriate. This decision, as much as it was for the greater good and success of the organization, it brought some misunderstandings especially between me and those that I had dropped from the team. All the same, as an Investment Banking official in the Deutsche bank I had to ensure that my team competent thus capable of learning from the experience they have in addition to having a sense of all the cultures of the bank. From the time I started my job at the Deutsche Bank, I learned that before becoming a bank official despite the area of specialization then it is important to understand and familiarize with the area of specialty by continuously interacting with different bank officials, attend career fairs and numerous networking events among others in relation to banking. In addition, getting more practice is of a greater significance simply because it would help in building and maintaining calmness thus relaxed during a number of processes including interviews.
