One of the most interesting concepts concerning communicating to land a job was how the online network connects prospective job seekers to new opportunities. I found the theme interesting since different websites provide online networking opportunities. A profile is first set up, which is interestingly free of charge on Plaxo, BranchOut, and LinkedIn. An individual could add their points of interests in life, accomplishments, awards, and if they were part of a volunteer team. The second interesting concept is how easy and effective it is to manage an individual’s online identity. The concept is interesting since a job seeker needs to consider their weaknesses and strengths to create a professional identity. It is also interesting how to monitor their online presence through Google Alerts and other social media accounts.
I will utilize these approaches when seeking an online job opportunity and make my profile sellable to different employers through different social media accounts. I will apply the two concepts to reach out to the world concerning my areas of expertise. Online networks and creating an online presence are important since employers find it easy to assess after searching an individual as a potential employee.

Indeed, effective communication skills play a central role in career success. Communication skills are essential when it comes to having a robust team at the workplace. With the skills, the team could accomplish the organizational objectives and goals within a short span of time. Dealing with a difficult boss can be an embarrassing moment for any employee. It is good for one to practice effective job ethics, choose their words appropriately, and ensure one studies the boss’s communication styles. For now, I consider my boss as not difficult due to the positive relationship we have.

The workplace has changed a lot due to how social media has been used to recruit employees. Particular employers use an individual’s post to consider their recruitment which I agree with since social media impacts people’s everyday wellbeing. The same way one has been recruitment, say through Facebook, should also have consequences in case of firing scenarios with the posts available online. Indeed, every person should work ethically, and any work bully should not be tolerated. I have never experienced any bully situations in the workplace.

Client satisfaction is achieved through good communication such as emails and letters. Good communication and raise the popularity with different clients. The clients see such a move as a foundation of trust, and any problems could be effectively resolved if they develop. The groupthink concept is an essential element at the workplace since employees critically analyze and assess given alternatives. Speaking up could save particular situations in case of any conflicts. The situation that led to a conflict when I did not speak up was in high school when the class teacher selected one of the students I did not like as the class monitor. I chose to be silent yet not happy about the decision.
