The rise in information technology has led to the emergence of very useful technological advancements. However, there are disadvantages and advantages of the new technological advancements. For example, artificial intelligence poses ethical concerns when personal information is hacked into. Artificial intelligence systems are being extensively used in health care and money transfer processes. In scenarios where errors are made, there is a risk of losing people’s money or even causing negative treatments to patients. This would highly affect the quality of people’s lives. AI is said to be the best in mitigating cyber-attacks. This is because AI systems detect and quickly respond to threats in computer information (Green, 2018) . Therefore this means that people will rely on algorithms from machines to protect themselves from cyber-attacks. The main threat is if these algorithms being used In AI are interfered with. This would mean greater risk and greater loss if there is a successful attack on the AI systems.
Nuclear technology is also a field that raises ethical concerns. This is because nuclear technology can be used to create massive destruction of the world by its weapons. However, nuclear technology while used appropriately has shown positive effects such as a reliable source of electricity. It also is useful in reducing carbon emissions in the environment. The main ethical issues arise in case the nuclear energy knowledge is used for malicious practices. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing showed the world the immense damage that nuclear energy could result into (Langley, 2017) . These nuclear bombings resulted in the instant deaths of hundreds of people. The radioactive effects also led to the death and health problems of many who were affected by the attack. Therefore, despite the technological advancements of nuclear energy ethical concerns that would greatly affect people’s quality of life.
