According to Vaughan Roberts in his book God’s Big Picture, he describes the Perfected Kingdom most found in the book of Revelation in the Bible. He writes of a great division among the people on earth where people will be separated, the good from the bad. The bad will be languishing in hell while the good will be enjoying in heaven (Roberts, 2012). Robert advances the idea of a new creation which is deemed perfect. Good people will dwell in the perfect creation. It is at this stage of the Bible that the gospel that was promised by Jesus Christ in the New Testament will be fulfilled. Revelation fully describes the restoration of the kingdom, as mentioned by Roberts. In the end it will be a happy ending that cannot be spoilt by anything or anyone. In the perfect kingdom, the multinational family of God will receive a new creation which is also described as the new Jerusalem or the new temple or heaven. Here they will be under God’s rule and hence will enjoy the perfect blessing which is the lamb and the throne of God. Christ the King will return again to earth to fulfill the prophecy.

Earth will not be annihilated in the end instead, it will be restored and renewed into a new creation. This new creation will be inhabited by all communities. The new creation stemming out of the material world is also described as the Promised Land or the new Eden. For the creation to be restored or renewed, the Spirit of God is sent in the kingdom in the final or last days. The Spirit is vital since it brings new births while ensuring that people are equipped to serve Christ. The Spirit also produces holiness. The people in the new creation will practice the forgiveness of sins. This will also be enabled through the spread of the good news of Christ. The Holy Spirit also guides those who serve Christ by preaching and spreading the gospel. However, the return of Jesus has been delayed by God in order for more people to hear the good news and repent their sins before it is too late (Roberts, 2012). These are the implications of the renewal of the material world that will be born anew into the new Eden.
