The activity to be introduced in the infant room to encourage physical development by keeping the infant and comfortable is the introduction of bright colors and shape. The action is suitable for infants in the age group of 3 to 12 months. Adorning the infant room with toys of different sizes, shapes, and colors is a significant activity that encourages children to raise their head which strengthens the neck muscles an initiate the development of gross and fine motor skills. Introduction of colors is associated with the milestones involving movements such as rolling or smiling. The infant room activities are essential in physical development as early brain development relates to exercise. 

Therefore, what babies do shapes how their brain grow which emerges from the initial movement experiences that parents and caregivers promote. The ability to turn the head is an important practice impacted by the presentation of color as they give the baby incentives to move and develop control of the head and sensory processing skills. Coloring the infant room helps in physical development by motivating chin tuck movements which require neck strength and flexibility and comprise of the initial moves that babies learn before the initiate rolling.

Early Childhood Room 

Singing, listening to music and dancing is an activity for the early childhood room appropriate for toddlers from age two. Music is essential at this age and functions as a way to soothe and calm down the children. It provides a method for children to interact, express their love and joy and engage on another improving their social skills. In that age group, milestones include learning how to speak correctly. Copying activities from other, following simple instructions, and saying sentences. Milestones also include excitement when with other children. Music which involves singing and dancing helps in moving the muscles of the lips, to form words in a melody and whistle movement of the muscles of the hand in clapping and imitation and the large muscles of legs and arms as children dance. Music is essential in gross motor development because in dancing, rocking, making musical sounds and jumping to both fast and slow music are ways in which music engages children in building muscles in their arms, legs, and chest (Murphy, 2015). Singing and dancing also help in the fine motor development as fingers play along with the songs some of which are highly interactive. They encourage movement to the small muscles of the arms to be used in writing and drawing when the children are older. 

Adolescent Room 

Adolescents require an improvement and enhancement of their fine motor skills, through interesting activities such as playing musical instrument . Playing musical instruments is a successful way of refining fine motor skills for children aged ten years and above. Learning to play an instrument is an exciting challenge for adolescents in helping them attain milestones of coordination and swift movement. The adolescent age group requires achievement of balance, coordination as well as utilizing the gross and fine motor skills. Playing musical instruments will help to use the large muscles in the arms, torso and legs and aid in the completion of whole-body movements. 

Playing musical instruments impacts physical development useful for exercising, improving body awareness, physical strength for successful participation in activities in school, at home and in the community. They facilitate the progression of milestones in activities that require the adolescents to become independent. They acquire skills that help them to participate understand and respond to the environment as they interact with their peers, parents, teachers, and sibling. Introduction of musical instruments impacts a child’s self-esteem which is displayed in their physical attributes.
