In light of the developments, it is evident that the president exercises the authority vested in them by the constitution to drive forward their agenda regardless of contrary opinion. One can argue that the most important function of the president, in this case, is their role as the chief executive.

As the holder of the executive power of the US, the president is the final decision maker on matters policy.
