The most pleasing aspect of the A Class Divided video is the significant lessons that I got after watching it. The experiment done by Ms. Elliot has importan lessons; one being the fact that there is no age limit for teaching other people about the risk of entrenching racism in a nation. I was able to learn from the video that it is very worthwhile for guardians to teach their children about the dangers of racism while they are at their tender age. I liked the lesson that children have to grow up knowing all human beings are equal regardless of their different race, religion, ethnicity and social class. It was quite pleasing to learn the way the human mind is very powerful hence labels have to be used moderately. In the video, it is implied that the human mind is able to relate various labels with feelings of superiority or inferiority (William, 1987). I also like the fact that people watching the video can understand what the victims of discrimination always feel. The understanding of the awful feeling that comes with being discriminated can make people shun this vice. Therefore, I like the fact that the video weeps up emotions of empathy and kindness in anybody who watches it. I like how Ms. Elliot changed a lesson that would be quite boring into an enchanting and interesting learning experience for the students. All these lessons that make up the video are important for the world, and it can help reduce discrimination of any kind.
The only thing that I do not like about this video is its setting period. The time of making this video came after many racial discrimination upheavals had occurred both in the school and the entire country. It has to be mentioned that this video came hot on the heels of the assassination of Martin Luther. My wish, on watching this video, is that it should have occurred well early enough before racial discrimination became a menace in the entire country. Considering the powerful impact it had in changing the perceptions of viewers and even the classroom children, it would have helped decrease cases of discrimination in the United States of America and even prevent the assassination of Martin Luther.

I was surprised at the manner in which the blue-eyed pupils started treating the brown-eyed colleagues. Bearing in mind the fact that both the blue-eyed and the brown-eyed children were classmates who had no animosity between them before the experiment, it was quite surprising to see how they started treating their colleagues badly after they were made to believe they were superior. Such power of the human mind that even made them start performing better than the brown-eyed pupils is quite amazing.
The scene that I will remember for long is when Ms. Elliot changes the story by telling the class that she lied and that it is in fact the brown-eyed pupils who are superior to the blue-eyed ones (William, 1985). The impact of this announcement is quite amazing, particularly the way the new perception among the pupils makes the brown-eyed children start performing better than their blue-eyed counterparts.
