The purpose of this article is to explore HRM’s role in creating a productive environment for business success. The aim is to explore the challenges that HRM faces in the modern business world as they strive to create a better environment for the company to succeed. According to Podgorodnichenko, Edgar & McAndrew (2019), the authors acknowledge the fact that despite the critical role of the HRM is playing in creating a better and productive environment for business; they need to understand the current challenges that face them in the business environment. Understanding such difficulties and contradictions in the corporate industry gives them a chance to operate smoothly and proactively as they strive to be creative for success. 

Key Questions 

The ultimate goal of the authors in this article is to address the challenges that HRM is currently facing in the contemporary corporate world. However, the following are some of the critical questions that lead the research in the article. The first question the author focuses on is the identification of critical roles of the HRM in the organization. The problem is, what role the HRM can play in the development of responsible and sustainable organizations? The second issue the authors reflect on is the challenges associated with the HRM. The question asked is, what are the problems the HRM in the current corporate organization faces? The last matter the article addresses is the recognition of effective contemporary HRM approaches in the corporate world. The question they ask is, what is the modern contradiction which has the systematic promotion of sustainability as an HRM goal?

The critical point in this article is the challenge the HRM faces in the current world and the solution which the HRM can use to solve them. What is clear from the article is the fact that the HRM roles are modified, and they are no longer just recruiting people. HRM must use different decision-making models to find a solution to the challenges the business face. Their role is also ensuring better training, diversity, encourage social support for everyone in the organization, and advocate for the employees welfare. Such a role enables HR to combat the different challenges they face regarding training, diversity, social challenge, and production problems in the organization. 

The Main Points 

The viewpoint in this article is that HRM needs to perform a variety of divergent roles. At a functional level, the key HRM drivers include the development of a leadership approach and an organizational culture that recognizes the inevitable paradoxical tensions that can occur. Such a diverse role of the HRM is critical in combating the different challenges they face in their line duty. The key challenges include diversity, social relationship, corporate relationship, globalization of the business activities, and also addressing the issue of equity and payroll in the world place ( Podgorodnichenko, Edgar & McAndrew, 2019). Therefore, playing a diverse role is critical in solving such complex challenges in the workplace.

Also, corporate social responsibilities, Sustainability, Systematic literature review, and Paradox theory are other concepts and words that should be understood to help in understanding the article. It will also be critical for the reader to understand expressions such as the globalization of business. The term employee advocacy is also vital as it is among the essential concepts that the authors use to describe the key themes in the article.

The authors conclude that HRM needs to master a diverse role to work for better in the contemporary corporate environment. It is the mastery of the diverse role that can be critical in solving the complexities that come with the modern business environment.
