Subject and Composition

Basically, the picture represents some hunters in the snow. In fact, this is a real representation of the western art during winters. The painting was done by none other than Bruegel Peter in around 1565. To date, it stands out to be one of the most popular and recognized paintings ever done by Peter. The composition is more linear and there are also some hunters on the left who are trekking towards home but through the snows. Amidst them are their dogs as well, though looking exhausted from far. Trees which are bare are also climbing into the clouds, thus becoming a threat to the surrounding sky. The village is all frozen and spreading downwards. The people seem to be very stressed free and instead do skating. Moreover, there are some people, of course, many on the left of the hunters who seem to be busy making lighting fire for roasting pigs. At least of one of the hunters though tired have one fox hanging on the tree over his shoulder. Through this scene, it comes clear that life is good through endurance and commonality.

Perspective and Viewpoint

This type of scene can only be found in the Kunsthistorisches Museum with houses one of the finest paintings within Europe. As described, this viewpoint can bring many tourists to close due to the attractive numerous paintings.

Media and Technique

Bruegel employed a breath-taking technique thus making the panel to be painted through oil. From this scene, it may not be considered to have come from original distinctive features.

Color

In terms of color, the scene represents a well-balancing painting. For instance, there is green-grey, close-to-black browns palette. The luminous warmth of the flames is also seen in the peripheral.

Brush Stroke or Texture

The texture is graphic in nature, stark as well as dynamic, thus making it work without end. On the content or meaning of the work is that it is an opportunity for the artist to showcase their skills. Through their work, economic activities like hunting can be represented in a way that it can be appreciated by everybody.

My reaction towards this artwork is that it represents love in any country. For instance, seeing all the hunters looking for only of them to bring food shows love and that people should share whatever little they have.
