The Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs) are vital in controlling and commanding operations at the theatre level. Notably, TOCs involve an integrated group of tents and wheeled and tracked vehicles alongside shelters from which a commander and their staff plan, direct, and monitor the tactical operations of assigned forces in the military operations (Department of the Army, 2019) . The required equipment for TOCs primarily relies on the mission set, end state, and permanency. For instance, a combat environment would require the Contracting SGM/CSM to establish computer systems for every Toc member. Furthermore, the other peripherals that will be required by the Contracting SGM/CSM to create a work station include printers, Virtual Teleconference (VTC) capability, projection ability, and monitors (Department of the Army, 2019) . Notably, there is a contracting brigade and a sustainment brigade TOC with differences in their operation functions.

According to the Department of the Army (2019), a TOC staff should include Contracting Support Plans Office (CSPO), Human Resource (S1), mission partner liaison, plans and operations (S3), Contracting Operations (CONOPS), and Contingency Contracting Administration Services (CCAS). All of these TOC staff members play their significant roles to ensure the success of the commander's end state (Department of the Army, 2019). Notably, the TOC is considered the nerve center of the operations such that the SGM/CSM has to ensure the staff is equipped with relevant tools and skills to guarantee the commander's end state's success.

Conclusion

Overall, TOC is essential in providing insights to both the SGM/CSM and the commander regarding the means of achieving the CCDR's desired end state. Therefore, TOCs staff usually exhibit skilled individuals from various specialties depending on the end state desired in operation.
