As a leader, my main leadership goal is to ensure that the organization which I am in charge of meets its core objectives and goals. In order to succeed in this, I must provide good leadership and guide the entire organization is achieving such objectives and goals. One of the most leadership skills I need to embrace as a leader to achieve all these organization goals is to provide transformational leadership. Hemmerling argues that achieving transformational leadership for an organization needs a leader to first embrace self-transformation. According to the speaker, self-transformation inculcates certain virtues such as honesty, patience, and determination in a leader. Therefore, for a leader to spearhead an organization’s economic agenda he/she needs to pay attention and listens to his/her followers. This is what Hemerling refers to inclusive leadership and leaders who practice this form of leadership often ensure that everyone within the organization is involved in every process, thus ensure that everyone achieves his/her target for the benefit of the entire organization.
Takeaways From the Course
Indeed, I have learned a lot from the course materials about the strategies through which a good leader needs to apply to help achieve the organization’s key objectives and goals (Lussier & Achua, 2016). I have a lot about change management and how it affects the organization’s processes. However, for leaders to implement real changes in their organizations, they must use certain strategies that would help them achieve globalization and technological changes for their organizations. Some of such leadership imperative strategies a leader must embrace to implement change effectively include inspiring and embrace a culture of continuous learning. In addition , I also learned that in the process of implementing changes within an organization, there are also certain challenges that managers do face as they strive to effect such changes (Lussier & Achua, 2016). One of these challenges associated with change includes resistance by the employees themselves. Employees do not always take change positively because they usually believe that accepting such organizational changes, they are likely to lose their jobs or be demoted.

The Three Greatest Strengths I Have As A Leader
My first great strength as a leader is that I am a problem solver. I often like examining every problem I encounter and evaluate it at every angle with the aim of finding the solution for it. I often enjoy being faced with challenges in my leadership endeavors because such challenges normally present me with an opportunity to remain creative and innovative (Lussier & Achua, 2016). For example, during my internship in one of my favorite firms, we were given the opportunity to develop an approach that would make the company increase workflow without interfering with accuracy. This challenge indeed gave me an opportunity to analyze what each department was capable of doing, and that was the way I managed to streamline all the organization’s processes thus enabling all of us to meet the organizational targets. Another strength that I have is being a people’s person. Working with people of various personalities has enabled me to deal with a broader variety of people. This has enabled me to develop several problem-solving skills, helping me to deal with my fellow employees successfully . In addition , my fellow employees always know me for work ethics. Work ethics has helped me meet my deadlines and also persuade my fellow employees to meet their targets.
The Three Greatest Weaknesses I Have As a Leader
Regardless of the above strengths, there are still certain weaknesses that I have which include lack certain soft and hard skills like time management, financial literacy, and creative writing. I feel these are among the skills necessary for me as a manager and in future, I will need to work on them to help me achieve the organization targets (Lussier & Achua, 2016). Good leaders must always lead by example, in this case managing my time properly and meeting my targets within the stipulated time will enable others who I lead to also follow my footsteps and meet their respective targets within the stipulated time set forward as well. On the other hand, financial literacy and creative writing are among the hard skills that I need to learn to help me become an all-around manager in future for the benefit of my organization.
Time- Management
Learning time management entails for main steps that I will have to undergo in the next three months to enable me to become a good manager. Step one will include writing a to-do list aiming at arming myself with the day-to-day list to do which is a very important strategy in effective time management (Lussier & Achua, 2016). In addition , the second step would be removing myself from any kind of distraction which might comprise with my determination and commitment to time management. Moreover, taking regular breaks from work at timed intervals is another important step towards inculcating the culture of time management. The last step would be finding my most productive time and settling in it to perform some of my major tasks as a manager. Indeed, all these steps are necessary for a manager to learn effective time management skills.
