Traumatic brain injury the disruption of the normal functions of the brain that result from violent blow or jolt to the head. If The sudden heavy collision result into an internal collision of the brain and the internal skull it can cause bruises to the brain tissues or tearing of the nerve fibers and bleeding may occur too (Mayo clinic, 2019) . The major areas where the heavy collision that severely impacts the brain include; road accidents, physical aggression, sports injuries, and falls.

Specific Areas If Injured Can Result Into Traumatic Brain Injury

The particular tissues in the brain that if damaged, can disrupt the normal functioning of the brain include; the frontal lobe tissue which is located on the behind the forehead. The frontal lobe tissue is responsible for problem-solving and decision making, memory and attention, planning and organizing, and it also controls behavior, emotions, and impulses (Brainline, 2019) . The frontal lobe tissue is located near the rough bony ridges at the front of the skull, making it more prone to injuries than any other brain tissue. Any damage to the frontal lobe will result in disruption of an individual’s language, sexual and social behavior, emotions and impulses and the memory of the individual.

The parietal lobe is another tissue which can result in traumatic brain injury if damaged. It is located behind the frontal lobe. The parietal lobe is responsible for integrating sensory information from various parts of the body. It also contains the primary sensory cortex, which controls sensations such as touch and pain. The parietal lobe also keeps individuals from bumping into things when they walk. Any damage to the parietal tissue will result in individuals' inability to recognize and locate any part of their body (Brainline, 2019) . The next tissue is the temporal lobe tissue, which is located on the sides of the brain under the parietal lobe tissue and behind the frontal lobe. The temporal lobe is responsible for the various aspects of memory like understanding and producing speech and recognizing and processing of sound. Any injury to the temporal lobe will result in sensory problems like an inability to recognize familiar people. It can also result in language problems and hearing loss.

The next tissue is the occipital lobe, which is located at the lower back of the neck. The occipital lobe is responsible for receiving and processing visual information and in shape perception. Damage to the occipital lobe will result in an individual's distortion in perceiving color and shape. The individual will also experience visual field defect (Brainline, 2019) . The next tissue is the cerebellum. The cerebellum is located at the back of the brain and is responsible for controlling balance, coordination, and movements. Damage to the cerebellum tissues will result in unsteady gait by the individual and uncoordinated movement. The next tissue is the brain stem, which is composed of the Pons, medullar, and the mid-brains. The brain stem is located at the base of the brain and is responsible for the involuntary actions of the body, such as heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and swallowing. If the brain stem is damaged, the individual will experience problems such as irregular breathing and heart rate problems.

The next tissue is the hypothalamus tissue, which is located above the brain stem and below the thalamus. The hypothalamus is responsible for the regulation of body temperature, sensing hunger and thirst, controlling moods and hormones. Any damage to the hypothalamus will affect the necessary body activities such as hunger, thirst, emotions, and sleep (Brainline, 2019) . The next is the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is located at the base of the brain, and it is responsible for regulating and releasing essential hormones in the body. If the pituitary gland is injured, the individual will be depressed, experience pain, and fatigue. The next tissue is the, which is located at the front of the temporal lobe and near the hippocampus. The amygdala is responsible for the formation and storage of information related to emotional events. It also helps individuals recognize when they are in danger and also convert and retain learning from pleasure. Any damage to the amygdala will affect an individual's sensitivity to emotions, memory formation, and learning and retention. The last tissue is the hippocampus, which is located in the medial temporal lobe. The hippocampus is responsible for creating and retaining memory and also for navigation around the world. In case it is damaged, the individual will have a significant effect in creating a new memory and retaining any (Brainline, 2019) .

Modes of Treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury

The traumatic brain injury sometimes is confused with a stroke. However, in the case of soccer players having a heavy collision in the event of tussling for an aerial ball and one of the players experience damage to his frontal lobe as a result of their heads colliding. The player will suffer memory loss and have problems with his/her language; the player will also be having problems in controlling emotions, impulses, and behavior. The best treatment for such a player is medications to help control the symptoms. The medication may include; administering anti-seizure medication to the victim as well as sedation medication, which will help in controlling agitation and excess muscle activity (Nordqvist, 2018) . Surgery can also be a treatment option for the patient. The operation should be aimed at repairing fractured skull, and through the surgery, an opening can be created at the skull to relieve pressure inside the skull if fracture repair isn’t working out for the patient (Nordqvist, 2018)
