Concepts discussed in chapter 6: case building is very useful and impactful. The ideas discussed throughout the chapter can improve the decision-making process because they outline fundamental factors that decision-makers should consider before making personal judgments. The most impactful idea discussed in this chapter is identifying the ultimate purpose. Secondly, a burden of proof and the burden of rejoinder are other impactful concepts discussed throughout the chapter. Based on the reading, a burden of proof tends to initiate an argument that the presumption a person has about something is not correct unless the person can provide proof of argument. If the person is incapable of providing the burden of proof, they should shift the argument to the opponent's initiative, who then have the burden of rejoinder.

The most surprising concept in this chapter is about developing a convincing vision. According to Karl Llewellyn, the duty to the law not only cause conflict with the duty to realize justice but instead urges along the same line. The argument is surprising because it is mostly assumed the law is the reference point that should be used in court to get justice to victims. However, it is put long the sin committed to assessing the most sensible item before making a decision.

The basis and process of seeking justice in a court is the most contradicting concept that draws a line of disagreement between ideas discussed in this chapter. In most instances, the public expects a court of law to identify if the defender's action was against the law than allowing the offender to provide a burden that the accusation is not true.

The most challenging question from this chapter is whether people currently use the ultimate purpose concept to guide the decision-making process or not. The ultimate purpose concept can be used to make an informed decision about critical issues affecting society today. For example, it can be used to identify the intention of prohibiting drug abuse among young people in the United States.
