Islam and Christianity are some of the most popular religions in the world today. They are different in various ways, for instance, the Christianity originated from a Greek word, “ Christos ” which meant the anointed one, and was used to refer to Jesus Christ while Islam originated from an Arabic word, “salaam” which means peace in the religion. Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ while Islam was founded by Mohammed. Currently, there are three divisions of Christianity: Roman Catholic, Protestant and the Orthodox, while Islam has two main groups: Shia and Sunni which was as a result of the division on who was suitable to replace Mohammed after his death. They all have holy books for worship: Bible for Christians and the Quran for the Islam. Christianity considers Jesus to be the one of the Trinity and the divine , while Islam considers him as one of the prophets but not divine. More importantly, there are similarities between these two religions, for instance, all these religions believe in the existence of one God, the Holy Spirit, salvation, and life after death and hell. However, Islam appears to be quite unique from other religions in the sense that it is not only a religious belief but it as well as a complete way of life that offers guidance in all the life activities.

Hinduism encourages worship of many Gods, while Sikhism is a monotheistic religion that worships one God. Some of their similarities include belief in reincarnation, karma, and Maya . However, Sikhism appears quite unique from other religions in the sense that they experience the Universal direct oneness of God as well as feeling God in everything they do.
