Treatment Methods

The first method for treating sleeping disorder syndrome includes advancing the internal clock and bright light therapy and using stimulant drugs. The advancement of the body’s internal clock is done every night to naturally adjust the body system’s biological clock ( Martinez & Lenz, 2010) . The patient will go to bed about fifteen minutes earlier every day and wake up much earlier each day. This exercise will train the body’s biological clock to adapt to the regular sleep routine. Another treatment method is bright light therapy. This therapy is achieved after an individual has woken up, where they will be required to sit close to light for thirty minutes. Exposure to the morning light will help the actor to sleep sooner through the advancement of their internal clock. The use of stimulant drugs may be effective, it is associated with multiple side effects.

Recommendation for the best treatment or therapy method

I would recommend the advancement of the internal clock because it fosters the body system to adapt to the required changes quickly, and does not involve the introduction of any external elements. Besides, the method does not trigger unprecedented side effects. I would recommend this treatment method because it is simple, quick and affordable. Besides, this treatment method will do away with the problem because the treatment is focused on addressing the problem from its cause. The primary cause of sleep disorder syndrome is the “clock protein”, also called the REV-ERB, which coordinates physiological and behavioural processes such as the sleep-wake cycle ( Cho et al., 2012) . Through the advancement of the internal clock method, the practice will re-coordinate the arrangement of the proteins and will significantly help in creating normal sleep-wake patterns to help cure the syndrome permanently. Simultaneously, the advancement of the internal clock method will help the actor to restore her normal sleeping patterns without necessarily stimulating anxiety. For example, since the method is natural and does not involve the entry of any external stimulant, such as drugs, it may help to solve future sleep issues.

Responses

Response to Cassidy

Your discussion is good. Anxiety is one of the most common disorders and is sometimes considered a normal part of life. However, anxiety disorders can be intense, inducing persistent worry and excessive fear in everyday situations. Often, anxiety disorders always involve similar episodes characterized by intense fear and anxiousness, which reach their peak at specific periods of the day.

However, you missed introducing the reader to the disorder of anxiety. Additionally, your argument on group therapy is bleak. It would have made more sense had you explain the various elements of the therapy in short, clear sentences.

Response to Cassidy

Your discussion is generally balanced. However, I believe that it would have been clearer had you included a small introduction to the disorder. Additionally, you have not given the reason why you prefer Exposure and Response CBT. to say that therapy is the most effective way to aid the people suffering from the condition is not a valid reason. It would have been more meaningful had you given more explanation. In addition to what you have discussed, o bsessive-compulsive disorder
