From Breaking Out of the Grid, Sarah is an employee of “planned parenthood”. Having brought up in a staunch Christian background, she lacked the secular aspects of life. Initially, the Christian background overarched her beliefs before graduation while the secular aspects were just minor parts of her beliefs. However, on graduating, the reverse occurred where the Christian aspects are the minor aspects of her operation as an employee of “planned parenthood”. Although she was sincere in faith, it only applied to private matter with secular naturalism applying to her public life. She later comes to embrace biblical worldviews in dealing with customers in her line of business (Christian Business Review, 2014).
Sarah got the challenge of embracing biblical world views after listening to the argument on the congress views of abortion. She got the understanding that abortion was wrong regardless of the trimester in which it was applied. From this realization, Sarah embarked on creating a worldview based on Christianity. Though tough, she managed to “break through” the trap of holding faith only to personal terms and started applying it to dealing with social issues. This, points out that Christianity is not just about the facts and truths enshrined in the bible but most importantly was on complete truth across all real life issues.

This article challenges individuals to apply their religious background in handling social issues. In fact there should be no gap between social life and personal life as Sarah had earlier on ( Kim, 2009) . Christianity should be applied to overcome challenges that come while dealing with different circumstances in business and in professional practice. From her background on Christianity, Sarah applies biblical worldview in guiding her clients on the best course of action regarding abortion. However, it is that client who makes the final decision on the course of action to be taken. This depicts the importance of embracing biblical world view in business.
Another important fact is that application of a biblical world view in business is one among many ways of being holistic in transacting business ( Pearcey, 2005 ). This article shows that Christianity can be applied in every situation that presents in life including business. Notably, inclination to only one side makes Christianity vague as it was in the earlier days of Sarah but on embracing biblical world views; she is able to see the bigger picture for which Christianity is intended.
Being a Christian does not mean that one cannot conduct businesses that are somewhat contradictory to Christianity. Sarah works as the person in charge of referring clients for abortion which is condemned in the bible. However, she is able to incorporate world views in dealing with these issues as is depicted by her advice on ills of abortion to the client, citing possible alternatives. Although I disagree with abortion, it narrows down to the decision of the client since Sarah had done her part on advising the client.
In conclusion, from this article, it is clear that an individual should not have two personalities simply because of holding Christian views. In the case of Sarah; her initial lack of embracing biblical world view had caused her to display two personalities that are the private Sarah and the public Sarah. However, when she embraced biblical world view, Christianity became much more applicable in business.
